did a traditional drawing of a shiny ninjask for #drawemall...! (also featuring hoppip!cranberry :3) when i was looking at its official art i suddenly realized this pokemon has a vaguely catlike cuteness to it... the big round eyes and catlike "ears".... it's just a lil baby #art #pokemon #pokethon

working on more custom 1/6 #bjd stuff..... hair painting progress. super shimmery orange layer -> red shading layer (the shimmers are still there btw, it's just not very obvious in this photo) (it actually has a really neat effect in person with the shading layer over it, too)

this hair and face sculpt.... except the parts i have are the unpainted versions so like. it's a thought. it's definitely a thought (it may not be immediately visible due to the veil but the faceplate does have the long elf ears if you look closely)

latest doll project... 1/6 scale OCs because there's something wrong with me. (doll on the left is mine; pink butterfly girl on the right is a blind box doll in the same size range. who has been at my side for both motivational and general admiring purposes) #bjd #bjdsculpting

Two 1/6-scale BJD are standing side-by-side. The doll on the left is a self-made 3D print, still unfinished and unpainted, wearing just a simple white handmade dress. The doll on the right is a store-bought doll fully dressed up in an elaborate pink outfit based on clothing from the Qing dynasty, and decorated heavily in butterfly motifs.

additionally, taking these screenshots ALSO made me notice, face 3A's purple gradient ears! this is the only face/hair model that even has a different color showing up in its ears, interestingly enough! (more fun notes: faces 1 and 2 have bigger, lower-angled ears than the other faces do... cute)

actually, some more thoughts on haja... something that's interesting, is the way her model is painted gives the impression of the spots gradually blending together into a more solid darker color in the back of her neck. like, compare to how other face models are shaded...? plus the solid brown ears!

heck, i'd have loved to see something like haja zhwan's spotted face markings, which are completely unique to her even in ffxi. but her existence alone helps imply: how much more variation in face markings existing that we have not seen due to limited character model options?

i knew i wanted metallic accessories for hairties but wasn't entirely sure how to design them until i had a spontaneous idea to modify one of the geo bell models and. ohhh this looks soooo cute. and still need to clean up the textures on the sides of the braid but im rly happy with it so far hehe...
