At a time when every VA medical center has severe staffing shortages, Doug Collins & Trump have proudly touted their efforts to push 30k VA workers out of their jobs. Secretary Collins is more focused on social media and confrontation than on facing reality and solving problems.

Democratic Presidents love to say "I want to be President for everyone." In contrast Trump has made it clear he only wants to be President for MAGA and declared he "Hates" Democrats. Democratic Presidential candidates need to update their views to reflect we are at war. No more feel good BS!

Mexican artist Frida Kahlo is remembered for her self-portraits, pain and passion, and bold, vibrant colors. She is celebrated in Mexico for her attention to Mexican and indigenous culture and by feminists for her depiction of the female experience and form. #ArtSky #Frida

I wish I could do whatever I liked behind the curtain of “madness”. Then: I’d arrange flowers, all day long, I’d paint; pain, love and tenderness, I would laugh as much as I feel like at the stupidity of others, and they would all say: “Poor thing, she’s crazy!” (Above all I would laugh at my own stupidity.) I would build my world which while I lived, would be in agreement with all the worlds. The day, or the hour, or the minute that I lived would be mine and everyone else’s - my madness would not be an escape from “reality.”

Since we passed the Affordable Care Act, Republicans have tried over and over to repeal it. And over and over, they’ve failed — in part because millions of people now depend on the ACA for quality, affordable health care.

bsky.social/about/blog/0... This sucks so much. Bluesky has been the only social media I've used for past half a year, after completing cutting twitter from my phone usage. I am not giving the government any more info about my social media though, especially with how things have been in UK.

Heartbreaking to watch a much of our world descend into misogyny, butchery, homophobia, transphobia and out and out racism and realise that those politicians and media outlets we thought would fight them actually are more confident encouraging them, platforming them and silencing criticism

I know @mcuban.bsky.social loves AI - had some fun just playing with it on pix of my dogs. But the truth is, it’s (right now) a planet-destroying technology that has limited use & exploits artists, writers, etc like me & my colleagues in a manner that is just super-sophisticated plagiarism.1/
