You know that song "a real hero" from the movie drive? For some reason my brain has always played it as "a real beavis babe... and a real butthead."

I'm just saying you could be watching this video to see if Roy Jones Jr. wears more Beavis and Butthead shirts. Only one way to find out!

Roy Jones Jr. (young Black gentleman) wearing a Beavis and Butthead T-shirt while walking in an farm enclosure for an unknown animal. Could be hogs? Could be chickens? I cannot tell you for sure and I am sorry for that.

I couldn't resist opening and closing the script with references to the songs. "When they stole his gold medal in seoul korea" to "nobody could touch him" haha

While I generally like to clip stuff I watch and share with you all, I think it'd be a wiser decision to watch @remymac.bsky.social's James Toney video. Listen to him tell you about this fight with far greater knowledge than I have. youtu.be/bnXp6dZiMUo?...

One of the great "what if?"'s of the sport. Was mandatory for Oscar De La Hoya for a few years but couldnt get the fight made. Would've been a very tough fight for Oscar!

Let cut men wear awesome hats!

A cut man wearing a paper crown with a picture of Oscar De La Hoya in the center of the crown. He has a hand steadying Oscar De La Hoya's head as he rubs an enswell on De La Hoya's face.

Shane Mosely's back as he returns to his corner. His cut man is wearing a windbreaker unzipped, a white t-shirt underneath and holding a towel in his hand as he prepares to work on Mosely between rounds. He is wearing a Naval dress hat.

Going into 2000, the sport of boxing revolved around 4 men. Shane Mosley, Roy Jones, Oscar De La Hoya, and Felix Trinidad. After closing the 90s with a controversial win over Oscar, Felix entered the 2000s seeking greatness. Join me in my new series: The Year Of The Fighter youtu.be/GIVtzcPByUM

I think ive got it! Washing the colour out a bit, makes it sort of timeless without sacrificing the contrast.

Same photograph, cropped to the posts, in a washed out, slightly silvered tone

Yeah I like that a lot! No cut off lamp posts and draws the eye to him. Hes such a fun figure to play around with in editing. Just the contrast of his outfit with the beautiful white stone behind him.

Fun wee challenge. I took this photograph in Panama in 2019 on my phone, and something about it has always stuck with me. It's far from a perfect shot, but I think there's a couple interesting ways to crop it. The lamp posts are a hurdle. How would you edit it?

An elderly man in blue jeans, a black shirt and a black fedora sits on a stone white bench attached to a stone white wall. He is playing an acoustic guitar and singing to himself, while the background shows the water between the pier he is playing on, and the Panama City scape in the distance.
