I genuinely had settled into the idea of just being on my own for this life. I have fulfilling friendships and that'd seemed like more than enough. Idk I just think about this a lot. Nine years is a long time. Our nine years together have been so full and I can't wait to see what the future holds ❤️

in two weeks scales and I will have been together for nine years. prior to dating him I was single for nine years after having been dumped by my first love, a gf who cheated on me with my best friend and then subsequently died of brain cancer We've now been together for as long as I was single.

I can definitely see now on reread why people consider this the weakest set of books in #rote! I enjoy them a lot but they definitely don't have QUITE the level of gutpunch the first few did

Yeah @artieuniverse.bsky.social shared a piece about some interesting research re: online/offline communities that said similar - irl interactions are CRUCIAL for this and like a muscle you need to exercise it to keep it from atrophy. Online doesn't compare.

Gonna move in some of my rare guys from my tall vivarium (mostly philodendrons) and then add some snails and mosquito fish from my pond outside ...last year they all died over the winter so I'm hoping I can use the indoor ones to restock in the spring!
