btw if you like DS9 and haven't watched What We Left Behind yet, do it. Expect to cry, but in a good way.

I bounced off Zen browser last time I tried it, I should give it another go. I think it was the workspaces that didn't click for whatever reason

9/25, I need to get more offline. Even still, only having heard of 3 feels wild. I'm not familiar with most of the 9 beyond knowing their name/face.

"should cyclists wear helmets" discourse is such a good one because the arguments for both positions are totally common-sense and unassailable, everyone just digs in.

I've been happy with how the regular client works on our current living room PC so I just assumed the Steam Machine would work the same way, bummer! Feels weird to not show a log in screen like (nearly) every desktop OS has done for decades. Hope they add the option soon if nothing else.

So every time media stops loading on this site the autoplay setting gets reset?

RemainNA, friend of Eggbugg @remainna.xyz · 06/07/2026

I could swear I turned off autoplaying gifs and videos on here but just had to do that (again?). Fun and good website!

Two for two so far in Blogy! I finally got around to writing about Kagi, and how it's my favorite search engines of the ones I've tried (especially since Google seems to keep getting worse).

"Don't let perfect be the enemy of good" comes to mind, especially since it seems to me like this could free up capacity at other clinics that do serve people under 19

Is Bluesky doing the stupid account wide adult content label thing because of app store pressure à la Tumblr, or just because it's a deeply unserious website? This sucks so much.

010

RemainNA, friend of Eggbugg @remainna.xyz · 25/05/2026

I see more discourse about discourse about Bluesky than actual discourse about Bluesky. Very dumb.

I wanna be very clear about what I mean about eugenics: "Orchid," which 'technical advisor' to this benighted website Why invests in, promises to screen embryos for "autism spectrum disorder". Besides being medically dubious, their business is the elimination of a whole class of human beings.

More than a little late to it, my 2025 games of the year post is up! As always, my focus is not to determine what is the best (I don't claim to have played anywhere enough to determine that) but to reflect on what I got to.

Gmail created an entire draft reply for me without me clicking anything telling it to (as far as I could tell) for the first time today and it's infuriating. It's just creating more steps for something that should be simple!
