Got to admit I was wrong about the Guardians pitching-didn’t think Cade Smith could go more than 1 inning again, but he was awesome.

I’ve said this before but it’s becoming more obvious every day. We still have a lot of the 21st century to go, but it appears Trump, Putin, & Netanyahu are the 21st century’s equivalent to Hitler, Mussolini, & Stalin.

The Guardians may win this game but Cleveland fans should sue Stephen Vogt for malpractice for allowing Cade Smith to pitch in the 8th & 9th innings with a 5-run lead.

I’m looking forward to the baseball postseason team that allows their starting pitcher to give up a couple runs while they pitch 6 innings in the 1st 2 games of a series so the other team doesn’t get a chance to hit against all their relievers in 3 or 4 straight games.

The statistics for the reduction in crime look pretty good until you realize ICE kidnappings aren’t included in the numbers.

Nice of the Orioles to start to rally in the 9th inning against the Yankees only for Craig Albernaz to allow 2 batters who didn’t have a chance to get a hit to bat while leaving good hitters on the bench. I guess he & Mike Elias share a tendency to quit on their team.

I am furious. I am terrified. I am heartbroken. I am appalled, embarassed, ashamed. But what I am not, anymore, by anything I hear, see or read from this evil regime is shocked. And I believe it will still get worse.

If other states won’t join in Colorado needs to go at this alone. Opponents of the Trump regime must start taking action instead of calling for studies or relying on the courts. It how the administration approaches these matters & it’s time to challenge them in the same manner.

We have a slow authoritarian coup being carried out in the name of sundowning sexual predator in the US but the 1st stories on NBC News are a helicopter crash in Kenya & gossip about the English royal family. No wonder Americans are so clueless.

What It Will Take to Win the 2028 Democratic Presidential Primaries www.nytimes.com/2026/08/17/o... How about if we spend our time fighting to ensure there is a Presidential election in 2028 before we start wondering who a potential Democratic candidate will be?

Years of Trump Support Came Undone in 15 Minutes in an Airport. www.nytimes.com/2026/08/16/u... so much to unwrap here-how the Trump regime no longer needs or cares about its voters, the condition of the concentration camps-but the danger is they have no intention to ever allow this to end.

The case represents a new front in President Trump’s mass deportation drive: arrests at airports of people who have active immigration cases and no criminal history.

This approach has to stop. It’s not that they have no spine or that they’re afraid to do the moral thing-after more than a decade of Trump the only conclusion is they are fully on board with his actions & beliefs. To pretend otherwise gives them standing they cannot be allowed to have.

Of all the stupid, inane, ridiculous ideas coming from this regime this one…probably makes the most sense, as it’s dangerous & difficult to cross Independence Ave. But it still should be stopped if possible because it would be done far too expensively in a grotesque way if designed by Trump.

Why do Democrats need to couch their opposition to the Trump regime’s war of aggression as an economic problem? How about saying we are now 60 days into an immoral action which is killing thousands of people & we must take action to stop it & hold the murderers accountable?

So the President of the US threatens to wipe out a civilization yesterday & today NBC News leads with the question of whether the Strait of Hormuz is open then pivots to when gas prices would come down followed by sensationalist stories about murders, planes & fires. Fox News isn’t the only problem.

An important discussion. This rightly points out Democratic Administrations have sought to expand federal powers over the states in the past. However Democratic efforts have been to protect individuals (Civil Rights Act, etc) in the face of state repression. The Trump regime has done the opposite.

It’s always interesting to go back to watching the NBA after 4 days of the NCAA tournament. The skill level is decidedly higher. The passion is decidedly lower (of course this isn’t the NBA playoffs yet). Overall I like the NBA better but the college game has one thing going for it-no Draymond Green

This is one of the biggest failures of the Biden Administration. The 1st Trump regime installed a Postmaster General intent on killing the Postal Service & Biden allowed him to continue in his position. Now we have a 2nd Trump regime & it’s easier for them to finish the job.

As we go about our daily lives we need to recognize that the govt of the country we live in, led by a lecherous egomaniac bent on accumulating power & wealth, has a gestapo-like police force kidnapping people every day for the crime of not being white.

This is important to recognize. There are very few brakes on the actions of the Trump regime and things are very likely to get worse before they can get better. The example of the bravery of the people of Minneapolis is going to need to be repeated in other places.

This is the situation Colorado finds itself & Trump supporters basically say if Colorado would support Trump they wouldn’t face consequences. My answer is Colorado should stop sending tax dollars to Trump - we’re not getting our monies’ worth.
