Really liked how they did the final boss fight. Especially with the music. :) I’m expecting certain characters to come back in the near future given what was explained. And as always, stick around for the ending credits as they always have something special.

Just finished Meursault’s canto! Lots of spoilers being revealed in this one lol. I’ll try to keep it mostly spoiler free. Bosses are pretty tough if you don’t read what they do. (As expected, pretty sure they also nerfed some of em) Don’t go in loops.

Specific to the EOSD remake: We don't really know how much was changed, as we don't have the prior original image unaltered by upscaling or filter. Just the fact that it was confirmed they used what is said in their statement.

Though this is by case general for all AIs. I'm not an expert on the specific AI used here, as Adobe supports many AI and plugins made for it. So who knows what kind of AI was used and what it does as a tool and the process of its creation.

In another extreme example, let's take a REALLY crunchy house image and feed it into an AI. Let's say this was used to "upscale." It's pretty obvious, though, the AI would have to do some major additions to the concept of the base image. It would end up pretty different from the original house.

In an example, you can take a picture of a house and feed it into a plugin/AI image generator for upscaling or filtering. The end product is technically similar to the original house, but in reality it is what the AI thinks is the ordered work to be done. That in itself is generative.

Hmm, by technical terms. Yes. AI, in a sense, isn't technically doing what people would consider "upscaling," as it does what is ordered by dialogue, not through traditional algorithms. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image_s... It can modify pre-existing images into newer ones that aren't originally there.

This is on their word for it, so trust and reputation are very important here. Now to me IMO I believe them, but due to the kind of stinky nature of AI being associated with those types. (AI grifters who let AI do everything) Some people won’t. Do with the information as you will.

UPDATE: Looks like I was right on AI being used on this stuff. Though as I said, it was likely used for rescaling original images. (now also some effect filters/plugins) Nothing major unless you hate any kind of use of it. (Something like Baldurs Gate situation) x.com/salicerepris...

It feels like a daycare in here. Trying to break up fights, watching as people make up excuses, and saying all kinds of stuff in which is also kind of disrespectful to the original team who worked on EOSD remake. (This goes for all sides by the way)

Which is probably the reason why I don’t talk to the wider Touhou community in general and only interact with the people I trust in the community. I’ll talk sometimes in general and very rarely outside of my comfort zone as I’ve seen how rabid some fans are when it doesn’t even relate to ZUN. Scary
