UPDATE: Looks like I was right on AI being used on this stuff. Though as I said, it was likely used for rescaling original images. (now also some effect filters/plugins) Nothing major unless you hate any kind of use of it. (Something like Baldurs Gate situation) x.com/salicerepris...

Going off of this statement, this would mean the usage was stuff like upscaling and various other features in newer versions of PS. Would these be considered generative or no?

This is on their word for it, so trust and reputation are very important here. Now to me IMO I believe them, but due to the kind of stinky nature of AI being associated with those types. (AI grifters who let AI do everything) Some people won’t. Do with the information as you will.
