As far as I can tell, Khalil has still not been charged & his attorney/family still don’t know where he is. Any Jew who thinks this is going to start and stop with a few Palestinian activists is fooling themselves. Our community should not be used as an excuse to upend democracy & the rule of law.

Exactly why I've been writing, podcasting, and damn near screaming about using the right language. The mainstream media is failing us SO badly right now. Stop. Calling. This. Shit. DEI. This is (re)segregation. This is racial purging. Cleansing Black people from positions of power.

When I read books about Hitler's rise to power, German high society had a similar dismissive view of the Nazi movement. Crackpots and lunatics. The unserious presentation of their ideas disarms liberals but they are deadly serious about the substance.

The most interesting finding is that many more Jews believe that opposing Israel’s right to exist is antisemitic than opposing Zionism: 87% think it’s antisemitic to oppose Israel’s right to exist, whereas 54% think opposing Zionism is antisemitic. Jews distinguish between these two positions.

There’s a lot to be disappointed in the ADL under Jonathan Greenblatt’s leadership, but one of the most depressing is their characterization of deeply researched human rights reporting as “unsubstantiated” and biased without ever having read them, and certainly without substantiating those claims.
