I’m a Yorkie Dad now. Also hiii, I’m alive. This is Totoro. He’s 14 weeks and full of piss, vinegar, and nibbles.

A small Yorkie puppy seated in a dog bed that’s way too big for him with an old toy that the breeder gave us to keep his mother’s scent.

That time I did pen and ink drawings of gay porn stills for an undergraduate mixed media class and my printmaking was a basic ass text transfer of a definition of homophobia

That painting I posted a video of the other day. There are a few bits I might touch up once it’s fully dry but I’m okay with it as is.

The fastest way to get blocked by me on Sniffies/Grindr/Scruff/Growlr/etc is, upon my revelation that my roommate is also one of my brothers, ask something to the effect of “he wanna join?” This ain’t Bel Ami. GTFO with that noise. Gross.

It’s been ages Bloomfs, sorry about that. I adjuncted this semester, kept my day job, and still did workshops at the art center. Oh, and my body’s falling apart all around me. Finished this when I got home from the hospital today.

I drew this portrait of my childhood best friend/highschool beard/favorite Judy 11 years ago. How insane is that? I’ve been doing art longer in my life than I haven’t at this rate.

Trying to get better at how much painting I get done in a single session. Find that sweet spot between an alla prima and a multisession painting, y’know? Gonna need to fix the drawing a bit when it dries up in a later layer tho.

This is the whole drawing by the way. 22x30 on tones Stonehenge. I think I hate charcoal tbh.

My first completed illustration of the year is a follow up to one of my most popular illustrations (linked below). This new one is titled "Fealty." 😁

We peer through ornate curtains at a king kneeling before a man in armor who stands before him. The king gazes up at the knight and is in the process of shrugging out of his ornate robes, which trail behind him. The knight cradles the king's face in one hand, and the king has a hand on the knight's armored leg.

I knocked out this old ink sketch from a live mode years ago at an open studio. Black India ink washes applied with a brush heightened with white chalk. Probably one of the nicest renderings of a penis I’ve hammered out TBH. 😂 . . #gayart #queerart #art #ink #indiaink #study #sketch #inkwash #gay

I did a sketch dump post on IG (Kyle.reid.art) and figured I’d throw one of my faves up here too. I typically reserve posts for drawings and paintings that take awhile, but like. For an in class interrupted sketch while I taught? I like this. #art #doodle #sketch #gayart #queerart #practice
