It's not acceptable that it's so necessary for developers who work for free (again no direct monetization rule [side note that the mod essential sells all your data to ad companies like google]) yet the tip mods are sodium and lithium to have a playable enough experience kinda.

Btw Mojang has always taken a weirdly hostile approach to many mod developers with their strict not monetization rule... But you're pretty much dependent to play using optimization mods nowadays with how much worse performance has gotten (1.13 started the trend of fps dipping client side)

help your case) Java has a horrid Eula that community servers have to follow which is now well known and I hope the class action lawsuit suceeds at forcing Microsoft's influence away from Mojang a little bit more (I'll be able to delete stupid old Microsoft emails that only exist for this game).

_rei 🚦 @rei83.bsky.social · 21/10/2025

Somehow. So it's clearly on purpose to print money. Let junk run free on the marketplace because you make a cut. Censor everything ppl say on bedrock and now java since 1.19 to have the game seem friendly to advertisers (you can easily get falsely banned and then referee to chatbots, rarely humans

100

_rei 🚦 @rei83.bsky.social · 21/10/2025

I'll tell you why. Because minecoins bring in so much money it's not funny. Realms subscription revenue is nothing on the micro transactions, which mind you, have no confirmation dialogue when you go buy more. Microsoft have horrible moderation in both the store and chat in complete opposite ways

_rei 🚦 @rei83.bsky.social · 21/10/2025

Cancel as soon as you transfered all your Pokemon to the latest game if you wanted, and nothing would be lost) Now mc updates are free, yes. But why is bedrock so well known for its bugs it's called bugrock by the community? Wasn't this the rewrite of the code and the "main" version to push?

100

_rei 🚦 @rei83.bsky.social · 21/10/2025

They wanted to charge an insane amount compared to pkm bank on the 3ds line guys y'all aren't slick you're blackmailing pkm fans into paying for another subscription because you can't have all your pokemon locally downloaded on a single latest mainline game (pkm bank was not like this, you could

From x/y, plus the game card size (back before Nintendo had multiple sizes on offer unlike the sw2 rn) could fit a lot more pokemon on it, they just artificially blocked it from adding from Pokemon home, which btw was a mess, horrible management if you had a lot of Pokemon with a living dex, and

100

_rei 🚦 @rei83.bsky.social · 21/10/2025

But both massively underdeliver Pokemon is much worse since they charge you full game pricing now on switch, when the team obviously has had a rocky transition to 3d to say the least (oh yeah remember them lying by saying natdex HAD to be cut because of new animations and then it was the same ones

_rei 🚦 @rei83.bsky.social · 21/10/2025

Minecraft and Pokemon devs teams are really similar if you think about it Both smaller teams with borderline infinite funding (understandable because bigger team does not mean more efficient, you would have to introduce new ppl to your codebase and workflow etc etc my fellow devs know how it is)

Wonder if anyone can spot more problems with bloom in either game? Fun fact: Dolphin actually ships with a mod to fix bloom at higher resolutions. This exact galaxy was used as an example in a Progress Report! (No, Nintendo doesn't use Dolphin.) 🔗 dolphin-emu.org

[Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2] Looks like Galaxy 2 has an issue with bloom? If not patched, the bloom effect interacts poorly with resolution upscaling (even in Dolphin), causing it to look like this. I quickly checked Galaxy 1 and didn't spot any issues with bloom, interestingly. 🐦 original post

Fast storage only really works with internal storage or microsd express. (which btw I prefer uhs II as a standard more). It's too expensive per gamekeycard.

010

_rei 🚦 @rei83.bsky.social · 11/09/2025

And the gamekeycard being so expensive is Nintendo's fault. I get they wanted fast load times no matter what to stream textures to the cpu and gpu really fast, but not every game needs those speeds or those capacities.

-Base Switch 2 should've been 350usd -Mariokart world should've been 70usd (and no game this gen should go above that without amazing optional dlc or something to warrant it) -upgrade packs should've been 10usd for a small change and 15 for more content, now we see that it's just tacked on & clunky

[Switch 2] During a GameChat session, a recording of the last 3 minutes is saved on-device for moderation purposes. 🧵 If you report someone for inappropriate behavior, it will be sent to Nintendo. Nintendo does not have access to the recording unless someone is reported.

"If you encounter any language or behaviour that may violate applicable laws, the Nintendo Account Agreement or NOE’s Community Guidelines, you may review the last 3 minutes of the relevant recorded communication content on your User Device and report it to NCL."
