I was on 1A this morning on third country deportations. Points: They are cruel, coercive, unnecessary, undermine due process, undermine refugee & torture conventions, disconnect foreign policy from support for human rights and democracy, use tax dollars to separate families & send refugees to harm.

Pierre Damas Bel. A 20-year-old Haitian immigrant with ambitions of practicing medicine, playing soccer, & building a life for himself. When his TPS was stripped from him, the weight of his uncertain future was too much to bear. He tragically took his life on August 31st.
