Its just one of those "Don't worry! It will get better" situations that I've been hearing since I was like 5, I'm turning 27 IN TWO WEEKS, this shit has been like this here since 2008 or so!!! My whole life just Living like This, if I knew I'd had to return I don't think I would've bothered to leave

Honestly, at this point FA is probably the most important gallery site left people can call home. We need to keep it online for as long as possible, even if it is burning money. Furries built this site for furries, and despite its faults FurAffinity has stood the test of time.

Think fundamentally people need to remember that FA is host to a community that is largely unmonetizable due to it being chocked full of fetish art. The trade off of capitalism not getting its hands all over the subculture is that ultimately community infrastructure needs to be community funded.

There's a spread of varying feelings for FA, myself included, but it would not be an exagerration to say that the loss of FA would be /tremendous/. FA is a major- if not THE pillar of the furry community's online presence. It has been the single longest standing space, since before social media.

im only 27 but i know this fandom has history that needs to be preserved. as sites go offline due to disuse and high hosting costs the internet becomes a worse place. it feels horrible to encounter a rotted link with no archival, it's like you're too late; don't let FA disappear overnight.
