Always has been. Fascism thrives off conformity and aggressively ostracizing those who don't or can't conform. That's why they denounce diversity and obsess over tradition and legacy (even those that were made up in the last 70 years). Being colorful, creative, and caring is anti-fascist.

The most telling thing was how at the 2024 DNC, they refused to let 30 uncommitted delegates have a voice but brought Dick Cheney and his daughter (who voted against gay marriage) on stage. They literally made room in the tent for Republicans but not for left-wing Democrats.

Stayed up until 2 last night researching for the sequel to a book I have yet to release (unlike Stag Party, which is available now). Here's what I learned: If they're hungry, bats will likely flee from rats because rats will absolutely try to eat them. Gotta say, I did not see that one coming.

I feel like it's the same as people who look down on gamers or comics. A couple decades ago, fanfiction was a niche, underground activity, earning people the "creepy lonely loser" label. Now, fanfiction has such a thriving community that it's almost ridiculous to look down on it (but people do...)

I checked out an art bazaar this weekend. It was great talking to the artists and checking out their works. Then I saw AI pieces, and they unlocked a new level of anger. I'd get upset when I saw telltale signs of AI art, but it got worse when I started questioning whether authentic artwork was AI.

One of my main goals with Stag Party was a focus on trans joy. Logan faces off against faeries set on stealing his name and his humanity, but his identity as a trans man is rock solid. He has character flaws and self-doubts—he's human—but his transness is never one of them.
