Not me, getting unreasonably annoyed upon seeing a "before & after" where after is on the left...

Rian Allan @redwizardrian.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

It's getting even worse because even in places where AI disclosure is required... there are a ton of people not using it. It's getting increasingly hard to know for sure that a human made something and it is depressing as hell.

Rian Allan @redwizardrian.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

So uhh... I guess... anyone wanna play Star Trek Adventures once I get the Second Edition book?

Rian Allan @redwizardrian.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

Man, my municipal candidates are all so similar... except for the few that don't want anything to do with BRT and want to focus on cars instead. Yeah, not voting for them. I live in one of the largest countries in the world... and I still believe that we should reduce personal reliance on driving.

Why yes, I will celebrate success, progress, and forward movement (where it's warranted). That does not stop me from also pointing out (possibly aggressively so) places where there's still improvements to make.

The game hasn't been the same since the 'Tossed Salad' meta hit.

This took a bit of thinking... I think I ended up playing a lot of RPGs growing up, what do you think?

The 9 games that shaped me: Neverwinter Nights, Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy VI, Majora's Mask, Suikoden II, Knights of the Old Republic, EVE Online. Warframe, World of Warcraft

I have a strange inability to turn the ideas in my head on to mechanics on paper... or else I 100% would have so many damned things made.

Oh, the print run was 100% intentional - and much needed. Hopefully it actually brings down the prices a little; costs on them are ridiculous here (and then hopefully some other companies follow suit...).

Rian Allan @redwizardrian.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

I saw this post somewhere else and laughed my ass off. Aside from the joke of 8 months of loyalty, TPC's only care is selling the product. It's not their job to prop up opportunistic middle-man scavengers looking to jack up prices .

I am extremely salty everyone else got their headphones today and mine are not coming until tomorrow (I ordered myself a set of IEMs to supplement a pair of over-the-ears that are cracking).

Rian Allan @redwizardrian.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

... I think I've ruined myself. Every single time I hear the opening to "Bring Me to Life" by Evanescence, I 100% fully expect to hear Goofy start singing.

I'm a simple man, I see a Columbo TTRPG and I like and re...blue?

Somehow much more charming than the Zetas.

Not me, extremely wanting to run a Star Trek Adventures game. Maybe if work hires me in to this position full time. I don't want to run something if my schedule goes back to them being able to have it different week to week.

Rian Allan @redwizardrian.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

I will never not chuckle at this exchange.

Rian Allan @redwizardrian.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

It's a good question. Why not find out?

000

The end of that episode is a gut punch. Every single one of these 'gimmick' episodes has been stuffed to the brim with character development. If people could see that, they'd realize we've been eating good... but they can only focus on the Muppets.

Completely get it! I know I'm lucky to be in the situation I am with my internet stability (if I can't run the game from a local computer, I can't run it at all in my case). What systems do you mostly run?

100

Fully agree. I used Roll20 all the time before because... well, there wasn't an alternative. But seeing someone's Foundry game was life-changing. What do you mean it just works? (I'm also just really big on self-hosting these days for most things. No risk of someone trying to AI-ify it that way.)

110

Plus those rely on hosting from other people... I love having my Foundry installed entirely locally (but still accessible from the web).

100

I'm sure everyone has that one irrational thing in gaming discussions... Mine is the Phoenix Downs in #FinalFantasy - they do not bring people back from the dead, they wake them up from knocked out status. They wouldn't have worked on a certain someone in a very popular mainline game.

000

... there's a creepy doll in one of the picture. The place is haunted. Nope. Not a chance.

Today, this is truly a massive "ALREADY?" Where has this week gone?

031

Do any of you also have a cat who plays fetch and gets extremely vocal if you don't comply? This screambeast won't let me be and makes it difficult to work.

A brown/black/orange cat sits on the floor wearing a bow tie collar. She stares at the camera, deeply upset that I'm taking her picture and not playing fetch.

This game is absolutely amazing and hit the perfect spot for me - extremely open and freeform roleplay with the combat being fairly crunchy and tactical. Hope you enjoy it!

Weird how so many AI logos look like the Imperial icon from Star Wars...

It's really funny for me to learn that people *didn't* like this episode of SNW that I'm referring to ("What is Starfleet?").
