Agreed, Laurie. What am I doing? Sometimes it’s tipping heavily and in cash because of unjust tax laws. Sometimes it’s calling my US Senator and reminding him why he was primaried. Sometimes it’s exercising my 1st amendment rights. Loudly. Depends on the day.

Max fought the clothes hangers. He fought the socks but was distracted by his foot. He’s exhausted and it’s only 5:42 a.m.

A tuxedo cat has his tongue out. There’s some neatly folded laundry to the upper left. He did not fold the laundry. He was too busy fighting the the clothes hangers.

A tuxie cat is exhausted and rapidly falling asleep on his owner’s lap. Thank goodness she has finally stopped ignoring his terrible laundry struggles and agreed to become Cat furniture.

Exactly. My kid decided against college and is in a trade; it can be intermittent at slow times, very long hours at busy times, but she’s moving up. Lots of kids her age with degrees are working 2 and 3 part-time jobs continuously. It’s rough.

Very weird time. Dad worked full time, Mom worked half-days. Under the table job at 13, legal job at 14. I worked with broken toes and bronchitis—I didn’t tell my parents because I didn’t want to miss work. Not sure why I didn’t lose a toe or keel over, but here we are.

Could it be a separate bowl just for her while the dogs get a new one? Curious: does she play in it or just like to drink from it? One of our cats drops its toys in the water bowl a lot. Same cat likes to sleep on a stack of 3 sheets of paper in the middle of our bed. Cats be weird.

This is so true. I grew up in a small rural town, east coast, mid-Atlantic. Folks were deeply incurious about anything outside their particular group, except when being judgmental about a thing. “Yup, that’s them over there and us over here. Don’t like ‘em.” I GTFO ASAP.
