#IsmuasMonthOfMusic Day 5: a song that makes you laugh The Art Of Falling Apart - Soft Cell i know i shouldn’t laugh, as the song is a cry for help. but the awareness of the situation, brilliantly witty lyrics, and an incredible backing track - it just makes me smile 🤷‍♂️ youtu.be/LQ0FSPmgMfc?...

i had a school buddy i’ve known for over 45 years message me and ask how life was treating me. unfortunately i made the mistake of giving a positive answer. i haven’t heard back since, and that was nearly a week ago. then i remembered: some people don’t do friendship, they just do competition

the joy and wonder of music, part 4102. It’s Raining Again by Supertramp has suddenly become my favourite song of all time (for probably no more than the next 5 minutes 😂). it’s unashamedly delightful, and most certainly not something i’d have admitted to liking as a younger man trying to be cool!

#IsmuasMonthOfMusic Day 4: a song you wish you could hear for the first time again… God Only Knows - The Beach Boys a bit of a cheat really, because every time i hear this absolute masterpiece of lyric, melody and arrangement i always pick up on something new! youtu.be/M0lj3WX_5ps?...

seems only fair to me that in light of the findings, Man City are immediately relegated and the team that finished third bottom last year gets reinstated to the Premier League. which happens to be West Ham. i think it’s also reasonable for West Ham to assume the points Man City have won this season!
