Took the new SAL-33 out last night for a test session. The guide numbers were amazing. Well worth the wait. I still need to learn more about NINA before I'm 100% comfortable with it. But it's only a matter of time. 🙂

Flock takes their privacy very seriously. But the ethical gray area in surveillance technology works both ways. Under no circumstances should elected officials or public servants enjoy an expectation of privacy when spending tax dollars to attend a surveillance lobbying event.

During IFT-4 I was able track an intact SpaceX Starship at engine shutdown from Florida for the first time. I recently learned how to do flat field calibration within DaVinci Resolve. I reprocessed the footage and even found additional frames of Starship, here it is at 50% speed.

The LAPD has stopped working with Flock. The police halted the use of Flock AI license plate surveillance cameras, as government officials cite concerns over data privacy. Organizers are demanding the LAPD not find a replacement for Flock, and instead permanently stop the use of these cameras.

This was the result from a test with the CPC EdgeHD. First time ever guiding with an OAG + the Player One 585M. First time using the 0.7x reducer. Sadly, I got screwed over by dew. I had my heaters on full blast and they could only clear half of my corrector plate. 🫤 60 second x 100 frames

Here's the different levels of focusing. Level 1 = Normal focuser, requires a steady hand. Level 2 = Feather touch focuser, gives you more finesse. Level 3 = Electronic focuser, gives you peak precision. I would go no lower than level 2.

The IAEA oversight went until 2031, yet Trump pulled out of the deal in 2018. So if your criticism is the sunset date, that would apply MORE to Trump since he accelerated the expiration by over a fucking decade. That is valuable time that could have been used for diplomacy instead of bloodshed.

The JCPOA required independent inspections by the IAEA. So you didn't need to trust the Iranians in the slightest to confirm they were adhering to the deal. I love this narrative. They imagine the left as overly fanatical about Biden as they are about Trump. In reality, I can criticize Biden and there's a lot I didn't like about the guy. But I wonder if you can do the same to Trump when he launches an illegal and offensive war that costs YOU money.
