Remember when you said "time will tell" about 5 months ago? Pepperidge Farm remembers. So... Ready to hold that big, juicy, and voluptuous L?

Took the new SAL-33 out last night for a test session. The guide numbers were amazing. Well worth the wait. I still need to learn more about NINA before I'm 100% comfortable with it. But it's only a matter of time. 🙂

My shot of the dumbbell nebula with the small refractor. The number of stars in this image is amazing.

Reprocessed the data and got this result. I will attempt to capture this target again at a later date and under much better conditions.

This was the result from a test with the CPC EdgeHD. First time ever guiding with an OAG + the Player One 585M. First time using the 0.7x reducer. Sadly, I got screwed over by dew. I had my heaters on full blast and they could only clear half of my corrector plate. 🫤 60 second x 100 frames

Small ROI and high frame rate is the key. Capture for no longer than 45 seconds at a time.

My telescope just got its next upgrade. The HD Wedge allows my telescope to run in EQ mode, which is needed for deep sky astrography. Unfortunately, the weather will now decide to be awful for the next 3 months straight because that's how these things go. 🙃

Blocking me shows a lack of confidence in your position. But regardless... You seem to be unaware that women can also be asshole misogynists. So to only acknowledge male participation in such depravity, as she did with the Epstein file cover-up, you highlight your bigotry & hers. Congratulations!

And yet, those "very many issues" didn't seem to hinder its performance during the first mission. There is no denying that the SLS is a very capable launch vehicle and is an example of engineering badassery.

Your ability to read beyond the headline leaves a lot to be desired. But if that's the standard, then I guess I'll just stop at this photograph.

Actually, asking why Trump has been dragging his feet on the release of the Epstein files is the appropriate question to ask. Another question to ask is why is he not acting like Clinton and demanding that everything that involves him be released to the public? Kinda sus, right?

Let's see... In one corner, we have someone who buys overpriced shoes. In the other corner, we have someone who literally blasted themselves into space on a suborbital Cock-Rocket. Hard to tell which one is more indicative of the problem.... 🤦

Here is my capture of the Orion Nebula. 🙂 I know... I've posted this image multiple times, but I kept finding ways to bring out even more detail. It's been a great learning experience. Anyway, this is the final version and I'm very happy with it. #Astronomy #Space

A blast from the past! Here is my image of an ISS Lunar Transit captured with my Nikon P1000. This image was made by stacking multiple frames that were captured in less than a second. It's been almost five years since I got this shot and it's still one of my favorites. #Astronomy #NASA #ISS

The 3D printed dovetail bar for the telescope counterweight system is done. Next step will be to print the weight box in the same material. The blue weight box shown is a test piece and was printed with cheaper PLA. Regardless, it gives you an idea of the final product.

After some work, I finished the final edit of my recent lunar shot. This image was stacked with more usable frames and the edits in GIMP were more deliberate. During my next live stream, I will share a link where you can download the full resolution image.

I am not a lawyer and want to make sure I'm reading this correctly. Is Streamyard saying that if I use their service, they can steal my shit? If so, I may have to rejoin a terrible platform known as Discord. Skype is dead and Google Chat only gives you an hour. Limited options.

The same way we can see the exhaust gases "wrap" around the Sun in this image. It's an optical illusion thanks to the Sun being a bright light source and the clouds being diffused to varying degrees.

After some more work, I was able to pull more detail out of my recent shot of the ISS. The difference is subtle from my last post, but I think the effort was worth it. I'm happy with the final results. This image is a 70 frame stack from 8-bit mono frames. #NASA #Telescope #SpotTheStation
