Very useful info if you're EU based. As bad as it sounds, I don't think they care much about human rights and freedom of speech so dropping some laws and the threat of legal repercussions might work better in this case.

This sounds like a bit but I’m being serious: kids using chat gpt for their homework are denying themselves the invaluable experience of learning how to bullshit their way through a problem. You drink some caffeine the night before and figure it the fuck out. That’s a skill. You need it in life.

This lawsuit is brutal. One of the exhibits is the letter Universal sent to Midjourney, including a quote from a 2022 Forbes interview that I bet midjourney regrets

Universal did not permit, authorize, or license Midjourney to copy or use any of Universal's copyrighted works in connection with any version of its Image Service or to otherwise exploit Universal's works at any time. You acknowledged as much in a September 16, 2022 Forbes interview in which you confirmed that Midjourney never sought any copyright holders' consent to use or exploit their works:
Did you seek consent from living artists or work still under copyright?
No. There isn't really a way to get a hundred million images and know where they're coming from. It would be cool if images had metadata embedded in them about the copyright owner or something. But that's not a thing; there's not a registry. There's no way to find a picture on the Internet, and then automatically trace it to an owner and then have any way of doing anything to authenticate it.

Painting of a red skinned Man'ari woman with corrupted green eyes and a condescending look. She wears gold jewellery with green gems, including cuffs on her horns

Two painted portraits of Christopher Eccleston as the Doctor. One is in colour and one in black and white. He is smiling in both, one more subtle and one beaming

Painterly portrait of Matt Mercer against a brown background. He has his brows raised in a soft, knowing smile

Water inspired character design for ttrpg. Portrait.
They are a triton / azerketi, more on the androgynous features side. They have long mane with swirling blues, like the motion of the tide. Fin-like small ears. Slim and softer features with shimery scales on their cheeks. Pearlescent pink eyes and a calm demeanor. They have a rose of winds inspired earrings.

Water inspired character design for ttrpg. Portrait.
They are a triton / azerketi based on sharks. He has a swept back black hair with white stripes, the sides of his head shaved in a scale-like pattern. Sharkfin-like ears with some jewelry and a small fishin hook as earring.. Strong jaw and sharper features with rash scales on their cheeks and a battle scar on his left side of the face. His defiant smile shows pointy teeth. Deep and dark eyes with a vibrant blue on his iris. He has his gills showing.

Awww thanks! I do a lot of technical exercises like freehanding straight lines or circles or trying to do quick, clean, parallel lines. But the best one is obviously inking a lot stuff. Tech exercises can only go so far. I recommend trying to only ink with no pencils. Its scary but will help a lot!
