Re: the proposal to eliminate loans for low paying majors. We're asking the wrong question. It's not why should students get loans to study subjects that don't pay well. We should ask why music, art, social work etc. pay so poorly they can't cover the cost of studying them.

I learned this week that if you're trying to reach someone whose job title begins with C and ends with O, you cannot just look up the phone number of the company and ring them up. This is true even if you reported directly to them when you both worked at the same place a few years ago.

OK, I guess the stars lined up the wrong way for me today. Not only did I not find my old boss by calling his new employer, my food processor died while I was making cream cheese sub. It was just before adding agar. i did the best I could mixing by hand, but I suspect I'll find gummy lumps.

This complicated my life immensely. Car started making a grinding or scraping noise as I drove. Nothing dragging, nothing visible in any wheel wells. So drop it at dealership Sunday get rental for the remainder of the weekend. This morning, about 20 minutes after they opened, they sent a video
