An interesting topic on 5Live about EVs. I'll be getting one in due course and my brother in law who lives nearby has offered me the use of his home charger. The future surely lies with peer to peer sharing as most home chargers are idle most of the time.

The upbeat nature of the Tory conf can be explained by a friend of John Peel. John was puzzled why a record he liked wasn't in the charts as "everyone he knew had bought a copy" It was then pointed out that he actually knew everyone who'd bought a copy. Delegates are just happy to meet other Tories.

There's an argument for scrapping the £100K salary limit for childcare but saying those on £100K salaries are uniquely hard working is bollocks. Workers on the early bus on their way to cleaning, caring, hospitality jobs work just as hard. Tories believe wealth is acquired by virtue. It ain't.
