The moment Sunday’s hand is just about to reach Robin, he loses her. He only touches the piano keys, alone. It’s another reference to the status of the Star of Charmony Festival and to that his fate is now to wander among the stars

000

Countess Qing (searching for job) @redheadcountess.bsky.social · 10/01/2025

Approaching his present, we can see him losing her – it’s not only the moment he takes her place as the Star of Charmony Festival, but also his realization of that he will not meet her again

100

Countess Qing (searching for job) @redheadcountess.bsky.social · 10/01/2025

The multitude of hands reaching towards Sunday are all of a sudden Robin’s hand. Sunday now understands that it wasn’t the concern for all those people that has driven him, he’s only ever done anything out of the concern for his sister, he tries to hold her hand.

100

Countess Qing (searching for job) @redheadcountess.bsky.social · 10/01/2025

In the next frame Sunday rises above a mass [Penaconian] people that are forced to follow him, which in my opinion symbolizes his dream. It’s the story about what he wanted to do: to bring people after him, bathe them in golden light, in Dreams, where there’s no suffering and everyone can be happy

100

Countess Qing (searching for job) @redheadcountess.bsky.social · 10/01/2025

This statue is a symbol of decline of Penacony’s usual state of affairs AND also of EVERYTHING that was built in Sunday’s mind. Now Sunday CAN fly – as is shown in the trailer with him and his surroundings levitating, and before all that he couldn’t

100

Countess Qing (searching for job) @redheadcountess.bsky.social · 10/01/2025

TWO references of the metaphorical past. The water there is Lethe, a symbol of oblivion in Greek mythology (AMPHOREUS IS A WORLD THAT IS BASED ON THAT ALSO AND SUNDAY WILL BE WITH US THEREEEEEE), and the statue of the past

100

Countess Qing (searching for job) @redheadcountess.bsky.social · 10/01/2025

When Sunday is shown reclaiming Wonweek’s piece of himself, this is him returning to his original path, he is determined to put an end to his copy and take back what is his

They can struggle through oppression or doubt themselves, but ultimately Asian-type character arcs are about overcoming everything for your goals and staying true to yourself.

100

Countess Qing (searching for job) @redheadcountess.bsky.social · 10/01/2025

Their previous and new versions will not be the same. Whereas in the Asian storytelling tradition the character’s values and goals WILL NEVER CHANGE.

100

Countess Qing (searching for job) @redheadcountess.bsky.social · 10/01/2025

THAT’S WHY WE CAN AGAIN TALK ABT EUROPEAN AND ASIAN CHARACTER ARC MECHANICS YAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY: within the European tradition the character will have already changed his values and passed a full rotation of the Campbell circle.
