Title: Dandadan Vol. 7 Author: Yukinobu Tatsu Series: Dandadan Ch. 50-58 Pages: 200 4 stars – It was really good In this volume the gang goes back to school while trying to figure out how to deal with Evil Eye in Jiji’s body. I enjoyed this volume. It was interesting to see how all the different people change into their forms, and watching them learn to control it.

Title: Dandadan Vol. 6 Author: Yukinobu Tatsu Series: Dandadan Ch. 41-49 Pages: 200 4 stars – It was really good This volume continues the fight against the Mongolian Death Worm and Evil Eye. This was a very interesting battle because they were fighting on multiple fronts and things just kept popping up. Since the backstory for these monsters were in the previous volume, this one was mostly fighting, but it was still a great battle.

Title: Battle Ground Author: Jim Butcher Narrator: James Marsters Series: The Dresden Files #17 Length: 15 hours 43 min 3.5 stars - I Like It This book picks up directly after Peace Talk ends and is basically part two with this book focusing on the final battle to save Chicago and the world. This book was just battle after battle trying to take down Ethniu and the Fomor before Chicago is completely destroyed, and while I expected that after the build up of the previous book, I was a bit disappointed in some things that happened.

Title: Spook: Science Tackles the Afterlife Author: Mary Roach Narrator: Bernadette Quigley Length: 8 hour 29 min 1.5 stars - It wasn't great After reading and enjoying multiple books by Roach, I am finally tackling the few that I have not read. This topic is one that I was really interested in because while I am a skeptic, I also am really curious about people’s experiences with ghosts, spirits, and other spiritualism aspects.

Hawk Series: Whyborne & Griffin #2 Pages: 172 4 stars – It was really good Scholar Percival Endicott Whyborne wants nothing more than to live quietly with his lover, ex-Pinkerton detective Griffin Flaherty. Unfortunately they keep being pulled onto cases that involve the paranormal. This time, it’s Whyborne’s own father who pulls them in to investigate the mysterious events at one of his coal mines in West Virginia.

Currently Reading Currently I am reading Bloodline by Jordan L. Hawk. I have really been enjoying this series. Recently Finished This week I read more of the Dragon Kin series and the Whyborne and Griffin series. I did get a little short story in the Dresden Files series read, but not the next book. I also read the October Morbidly Curious Book Club pick because I had already read this months book.

Title: Dandadan Vol. 5 Author: Yukinobu Tatsu Series: Dandadan #5 (Ch. 33-40) Pages: 210 4 stars – It was really good TW: attempted sexual assault; child abuse; graphic human sacrifice; on page suicide and suicide attempts; starvation; imprisonment; Momo, Okarun, and Jiji all return to his house that is haunted and quickly realize there is a lot more going on than just a haunted house.
