Just a reminder that you can review, positively, the Gulf of Mexico on Google Maps to remind others of the correct name. Cheers!

If you can, volunteer. Whether it's with social programs, political, environmental, health care, arts, etc. Get out of the home and be hands on in your community. If you cannot, but have the monetary means, donate to one or more of these causes. Otherwise stay informed and alert.

Does being Evangelical equal hating everything not Evangelical?

I know it's not perfect, but FUCK I am so happy to be living in Canada right now. Things are unstable globally; and it would be naive to think Canada is unaffected. Still, I'm just so thankful to live here.

Played some Raft with my teen a couple of days ago. Love getting to hang out in multiplayer with my kiddos.

Hail Satan and thank you for blessing me this morning. Perfect driving conditions; quick free street parking found; no wait lineups for washroom when guts were grumbling. Perfectly pleasant morning. Thx again Luci.

Looks like an hourglass. Time keeps on ticking, ticking, into the future.

So, societal expectations are difficult for me to interpret or understand sometimes. I have an adult cousin whose mother died this past summer. I sent a condolence card and attended the celebration of life. 1/2

What are your fallback #videogames? Not necessarily the games you're currently playing, but the ones you fall back to when you're bored, anxious, or just it's so nostalgic it feels like "home".

What an achievement vaccines are. What a monument to our love for each other it is to stare straight into the face of something as horrific and unstoppable as smallpox or measles or polio or cervical cancer and say “You know what, it doesn’t have to be like this.” HUMANS!

A cute little #crochet Star outline pattern. Can be used to embellish a blanket, cape, scarf or other project; create hanging decorations; or whatever your imagination thinks up.

Some #crochet snowflake craft ideas. Might be nice as tree decorations or gift wrap toppers this upcoming holiday season. #yarn

Sitting safely indoors after a wind and rain storm, sipping my hot chai drink I just made, nibbling on my sandwich, bundled in blankets on my bed next to my kitty. I am thankful for my access to shelter, clean water, food, warmth and companionship. I wish everyone did.

once again thinking about the fact that this is all just OUT THERE and we can only see it through the eyes of telescopes

$The background of space is black. Thousands of galaxies appear all across the view. Their shapes and colors vary. Some are various shades of orange, others are white. Most stars appear blue, and are sometimes as large as more distant galaxies that appear next to them. A very bright star is just above and left of center. It has eight bright blue, long diffraction spikes. Between 4 o’clock and 6 o’clock in its spikes are several very bright galaxies. A group of three are in the middle, and two are closer to 4 o’clock. These galaxies are part of the galaxy cluster SMACS 0723, and they are warping the appearances of galaxies seen around them. Long orange arcs appear at left and right toward the center.$ A massive cloud of gas and dust is seen in dark, dusty red, with its outer portions a translucent, ethereal gray. Several stars and distant galaxies are scattered throughout the image.

A circular-shaped nebula with a complex structure. On the circle’s exterior, particularly on the left side of the image, are curtains of material glowing orange like fire. Interior to this outer shell is a ring of mottled filaments in bright pink, studded with clumps and knots. A greenish loop extends from the upper right of the ring into the central cavity. Translucent wisps of blue, green, and red appear throughout the image.

The star cluster Pismis 24 lies within the much larger emission nebula called NGC 6357, located about 8,000 light-years from Earth. The cluster is seen here above a small portion of the nebula. The gas below the stars glows through ionization caused by intense ultraviolet radiation from the massive young stars within the cluster. The strong radiation and stellar winds from from these blazing, blue-white stars also pushes the nebular material outward, creating one of many low-density bubbles within NGC 6357.

Sharing a pic of the Aurora Borealis above my town (Vancouver Lower Mainland, BC, Canada) from back in May 2024. Absolutely beautiful, just really hard to see with the naked eye. Thankfully my phone caught this image (and a few others)
