Cy @recyclablecy.bsky.social · 07/10/2026And finally the lone retro anime of this set, KO Century Beast Warriors. Mostly a silly anime from yesteryear with character designs I adore. It’s a fairly short OVA and doesn’t take itself seriously much at all. Maybe not a must watch, but just casual fun. 6/10 000
Cy @recyclablecy.bsky.social · 07/10/2026A friend suggested Sparks of Tomorrow which I knew nothing about. Man, the budget on this anime is INSANE. The animation, backgrounds, and different art styles for emphasis was so beautiful! Also didn’t expect it to be so funny! I wish the ending had more consequence, but I still enjoyed it. 8.5/10 100
Cy @recyclablecy.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Took a chance on Draw This, Then Die! and it became my favorite anime of the year so far! It’s about two stories, one present and one in the past about manga creation. It’s one of those animes that just gave me such inspiration and hope. I adored it so much! 9/10 120
Cy @recyclablecy.bsky.social · 07/10/2026After hearing so much buzz about Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, decided to jump in. It lives up to most expectations that I had. A fairly unique premise of how long lived fantasy people deal with time but also how a neurodivergent elf deals with relationships both past and present. Liked it! 8.5/10 100
Cy @recyclablecy.bsky.social · 07/10/2026More anime I’ve finished while on the treadmill: 1. Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End (S1) 2. Draw This, Then Die 3. Sparks of Tomorrow 4. KO Century Beast Warriors 110
Cy @recyclablecy.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Such a gem. I beat it a couple years ago when the Switch port came out. I haven’t played the remake portion, but it holds up amazingly well. Westone my beloved❤️ 010

Romancing SaGa, Fire Emblem, Sakura Wars, Tear Ring Saga, Glory of Heracles, Dragon Force II, Dark Half, Beyond Oasis, Psi-O-Blade, Arabian Nights, and so much more. What a loss. Rest in peace. 1630191473

Cy @recyclablecy.bsky.social · 21/09/2026Booting up and playing Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter has been my happy place as of late. 😊 JRPGs are the best! 000
Cy @recyclablecy.bsky.social · 20/09/2026Another recent short anime I finished. From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman isn’t an isekai but more of a traditional fantasy story. It was breezy. My favorite part being that they showcase the swordplay fairly simply and not flashy. It show that the MC is amazing at his fundamentals. 7/10 000
Cy @recyclablecy.bsky.social · 20/09/2026I would entertain a Switch 1 physical if they make it… 👀 010

Cy @recyclablecy.bsky.social · 17/09/2026Lost Universe is a work from the same author who made Slayers. It’s a nice mix of Star Wars and Star Trek, with lots of bridge action during space battles. The characters are charming and half of the show is fairly silly and fun. The latter half changes to a serious tone unevenly. 6.5/10 010
Cy @recyclablecy.bsky.social · 17/09/2026Witch Hat Atelier is top tier world building and might be my FAVORITE wizard piece of media. It’s so good. Everyone watch it. 9/10 010
Cy @recyclablecy.bsky.social · 17/09/2026Chrono Crusade is another from my youth where I remember seeing the cover of the manga at Borders. It’s always so funny seeing how Japanese love Christian imagery. I loved the characters a lot, but the story was uneven at the end. Made me tear up at its conclusion. 7.5/10 020
Cy @recyclablecy.bsky.social · 17/09/2026D.N.Angel was an anime from my early teen years that I only ever saw a couple episodes for and was entertained by the premise. Now decades later I’ve finally watched the whole thing. The writing doesn’t exactly live up to the premise as the rules of the world aren’t very solid. But it was ok. 6/10 020
Cy @recyclablecy.bsky.social · 17/09/2026All the anime I’ve finished recently: 1. D.N.Angel 2. Chrono Crusade 3. Witch Hat Atelier 4. Lost Universe I’ve been on a binging spree 😅 410

Cy @recyclablecy.bsky.social · 15/09/2026I really tried to have an open mind playing they demo of Another Eden Begins… but I can’t force myself to complete it. It feels fairly hollow both from gameplay, story, and voice direction. All the characters sound bored in their delivery. Oof. 000
Cy @recyclablecy.bsky.social · 15/09/2026Episode 2 was fun. Introduced the rabbit Kamen Rider Datt, and showed us My-th's turtle form which I actually like better than the normal look. Wonder how the girl protag connects to Kamen Rider henshin-ing. Lotsa questions! 000
Cy @recyclablecy.bsky.social · 15/09/2026Watching episode 2 now and I love Otosumi's little work bench. Gives me ideas for my own. 100
