Chief was getting ready to enter a structure. This was Keyes' last known location. He had only encountered grunts and jackals. No elites. Very unusual. They seemed extra jumpy too. Even by their standards. John couldn't help but think he saw shapes in the fog. As if he was being watched....

Unfortunately for her, that means she has to deal with Colonel Silva. A hardass ODST (Orbital Drop Shot Trooper). ODSTs famously have a (albeit one-sided) rivalry with Spartans. Silva has already made his feelings clear to Chief, saying that he was glad the rest of the Spartans died on Reach.

"It always did sound nice...from what little I've heard." Anyone else would have simply heard a monotone voice. But to someone who knew him like Kelly, there was a hint of...regret in his voice. Perhaps lamenting not having allowed himself to have interests outside of war.
