A friend visited Becky Burke yesterday. Becky has frequent 30 second coughing fits that leave her diaphragm sore. It's terrible to be sick away from home, much less in a prison. She does have access to a doctor to make sure she isn't dying or anything and she can buy lozenges. 1/ #BringBeckyHome

Becky Burke's imprisonment by ICE is scary for a lot of people, particularly white travelers, because we can see this happening to ourselves, but it's a symptom of a punitive and cruel immigration system in the USA and it has expanded enough to catch her.
