I am obsessed with the Brazilian porcupine Rico, so we drove down to Cincinatti for my birthday to meet him. 5 out of 5 stars.

This is Tellen. She went to work with her human today. The only agenda item on her calendar is dropping toys in the hallway until someone plays with her. 14/10

Honestly can we make it normal that all public employees take a whole month off all at the same time every year? Mebe help us to appreciate how much we all depend on them.

We just launched a 16TB archive of every dataset that has been available on data.gov since November. This will be updated day by day as new datasets appear. It can be freely copied, and we're sharing the code behind it to help others make their own archives of data they depend on.

Is there some sort of hashtag to follow where we all pretend things are going to be OK, because I could really use that right now.

Sometimes you have to just let yourself rest. This was one of those days.

An LA organizer I trust shared this General Resource Spreadsheet with me. It includes nonofficial shelters and other resources for people affected by the LA fires.

I see the light. I'm going to mine small data for a living and get back down to the things that really matter. Maybe I'll pull some 32 mb microdiscs from the closet so I can dream smaller. youtu.be/eDr6_cMtfdA?... Thanks, @krazam.bsky.social.

This is why discovery research can save you more money than evaluative or summative research combined, but you'll never know it because that is how avoiding big mistakes entirely works.

Pro tip: if you are prone to motion sickness and own an iPhone, go into accessibility settings and enable vehicle motion cues. It’ll add dots to the sides of your screen when it detects you’re in a car. Usually if I’m on my phone in the car, I’ll feel motion sick but this actually worked for me.

Who needs UX, just add a label so users will know what to do
