I just did a rewatch of the first 3 seasons of Ted Lasso, and it’s a damn near perfect show. I caught a lot in my rewatch that I missed or forgot, and it’s so clever and full of heart. We really needed it in Covid, and I think we need it now.

Delighted to tell you that since I have made giving up caffeine my entire personality, I didn't have any coffee (not even decaf) today and it didn't affect me at all. I did get stuck in a meeting and had a late lunch and my hanger was coming out, but the caffeine addiction has chilled.

My biggest red flag is that I expect people to do the job they are paid to do, and I get so irritated when they don't and then try to make it my problem. Currently at the "burn it down" phase of my outrage.

How long is too long for a voice memo? At what point are you like, I can't listen to this anymore, send me an email? I love my friends but regularly sending 10 minute voice memos...it's too long. It takes me weeks to find the time to sit down and listen to the message and then respond thoughtfully.

My transition to becoming my mother seems inevitable. I just called her to ask if she had seen something posted on Facebook, which is something she does to me all the time and it drives me nuts. In my defense, my uncles are crashing out publicly and it’s hilarious.

My neighbors just came over to ask if my doorbell camera recorded any footage of someone stealing their dog last night. Who steals a dog? That’s awful behavior and I hope they feel immense guilt, can’t sleep, and have explosive diarrhea until they return the pup.

I rushed to ICE detention center Delaney Hall yesterday when I heard detainees began a hunger strike. Here's what I saw:
-18 yr old high school student crying and saying she just wanted to graduate senior year
-Pregnant woman unable to get full OBGYN
medical support
-Woman who had a miscarriage in the detention facility and left to manage all on her own
-Mom not allowed to spend more that a few minutes with 4 month old baby
-Husband of American citizen wife and kid
-A carton with the milk inside congealed solid (expiration date is tomorrow)
-Man there for nearly a year with no movement in his legal efforts
-A document showing next Tuesday's court docket showing 74 cases before 1 judge in one day (averages about 5 min a case)
-man telling me ICE trying to deport him to
DRC where there is active Ebola outbreak (he's from South America originally)
-Numerous people who were arrested at scheduled interviews for green cards (trying to follow the formal process)
-Family unable to find out what hospital their
