@whitehouse-47.bsky.social @houserepublicans.bsky.social It doesn't matter someone's political affiliation, employment status, or what papers they carry. People deserve to eat because they are, in fact, people. 42 million Americans are going to go hungry because you can't get your act together.

If SNAP benefits vanished tomorrow, feeding 42 million Americans for a month would cost about $7.8 billion.That’s less than 1% of the combined net worth of the three richest men in the U.S. A reminder of how obscene inequality has become and how easily hunger could be solved if we chose to.

Dear @whitehouse-47.bsky.social , @houserepublicans.bsky.social , @senategop.govpeeps.us ... I'm not sure why you think otherwise, but cruelty isn't a flex. There are resources set aside for food aide that are just for such a time (and already paid for). You're choosing to let people starve.
