In yee olden days of the early 90s I had this Star Trek 25th anniversary game. konami.fandom.com/wiki/Star_Tr... I can't recall exactly what killed the hardware but eventually it stopped working. Would be so cool if they brought these hardware Konami games to iOS in the modern era.

I worked hard for it but there are some days I look at everything I have now and think wow. Early 2025 I lived in an apartment smaller than my driveway now. 2022 - 2026 I had severe sleep apnea + high bp that I really struggled with (4 different medications + side effects).

Having expensive taste is a blessing and a curse. Like a 24 piece flatware set I bought in 2022 has been great but would like more forks. That'll be $25... Per fork. A whole additional set would be $191 plus tax.

Guess I was in too much of a rush at the gym earlier. Popped the pin in on the butterfly press machine at 165 was on 70. Saw a skinny guy hovering and asked him were you using this machine, he was super apologetic and asked if I minded if he finished his 1 set. I said sure no problem. oops 🙈

After back and forth since 8/1 the contractor who did my driveway in June repaired slightly larger crack near the corner, looked at some hairline ones and said they were normal. He and one of his workers were at my house all of 15 minutes. Can't expect perfection with a 70s house but do what I can.

First image = how much grad school cost when I attended starting 2005, 2nd image is today. $500 per credit vs $1,310. 162% more and average salary in US is up about 96%. Inflation in the same time is about 71%. In practical terms ~$18k vs ~$47k.

Update - I couldn't stand the plastic cracking noise the cups would make on the Bose QCU2. On AirPods Max 2 Midnight now, the noise cancelling is so much better than Gen 1. These are so much more solid feeling.

Lounging around didn’t exercise yesterday due to the heat. A bit mind boggling off bp meds I have a 70 bpm resting heart rate. On them was 85-90 and eating a meal or having any alcohol would send me over 100 like clockwork.

My 20s - Staying at the bars till 2am or 4am depending where I was at. Knowing at least 10 people there and being near the same age. No apps. Now pushing 43 - You're lucky if I go out at all and even then I want to be home by 11 and either 1 drink max or 0 alcohol.
