Happy #Stunday - #ECK, #Photography #River #Hiking. This is a recent pic of a quiet sweet little river dipping hole on a visit on the South Toe River, NC. The day was warm, even up in the foot hills of Mount Mitchell. Nature did not disappoint. Wonderful 🌎☮️

South Toe River: a clear pool of slowly running water shows the brown rocky shallows cascading to deeper water of blue green color. This leads you across the river to the other side, lined with lush dark green vegetation living atop large grey green boulders. Pic is framed on the left and bottom by tall green leaved weeds growing on the foreground of the shore. They are topped with bunches of small yellow orange flowers which attracted yellow jacket wasps. The dip in the water leaves you feeling cooled and relaxed after the experience.

Happy Saturday! Good day while working out in the front and back yard. Today, saw a 4 foot black snake, 2 squirrels, 4 cicadas, probably 20 lizards, 2 white birds, and this in the bush in my front yard- #Earth #photography #ECK #GreenSat #butterflies

Happy Sunday=) This momma Cardinal sitting in her nest, in a bush, at my mother’s home on Mother’s Day, spies another momma, me. Able to post this #photohraph for #BirdoftheDay #RedBeak Update: happy ending- one of her two eggs hatched, and eventually both left the backyard.

Happy Saturday! For #BirdoftheDay #EFGH I was going to work and as I was pulling out of the drive, I spotted a hawk sitting on my backyard fence (red - shouldered hawk?). I wanted the shot without disturbing him, so I leaned out of the window… a little unwieldy, but I got him checking me out too! ☮️

A hawk, with dark brown and cream spotted wings, quietly sits on a weathered wooden fence up against a lower chain link fence that has various green and brown vines climbing upward. The background behind the hawk is a small magnolia tree with bushy leaves, against another old wooden fence lining the backyard. Behind that, an avocado colored wall of a building behind us. The hawks’ eyes are dark and spying on me. Good thing I am not a mouse. 🐭

For #Stunday - waited to take the best view of the sunrise this morning. I have been noticing how it beautifully it shines through my neighbors’ backyard tree line. Occurred at 7:54 a.m.😎

The young bright low rising sun, centered in a small archway made by a row of huge oaks trees, which are in silhouette in the foreground. The archway is made by the trees, separated at the middle by an old chain link fence gate, of which both sides hang oddly off the hinges, bent, and weathered. Sun’s yellow rays filter through to fill the tree archway in circular fashion.

Added a combo of noir and vivid warm filters, turned up the definition and sharpness a bit. Nature in charge 🌬️

For #SmallBirdSaturday and #BlueSkyArtShow #flowing I was able catch this little guy this morning, sitting in the sun, cheesing for me at the time I shot this. The flowing part is that small stream of water flowing from the water bowl above where he takes his daily bath 💦

Happy Sunday =) #FebruArty2026 #float 18”x24” acrylic on canvas board that I painted after a stay in Coronado, near San Diego. Marinas abound, and the boats floated, idle in the tide. They seemed to saying, “please! hop in, unleash me!and let me make my way out of here to the sunny open seas”.

Painting shows a marina off the land of Coronado Peninsula near San Diego. The sandy beach is in the forefront, and many expensive yachts float on calm waters. The background are of the hills of San Diego, dotted with the lights of many large homes. A pink and yellow dusky sky is being encroached by the stormy weather approaching.

It is raining here in Cali. We are spending Christmas Eve by lantern and low Christmas music…. Tiger sits in the blankets and enjoys the evening with us. All be safe and Merry Christmas! 🎁🎄 🎅
