July 2: Krafton fires all 3 Subnautica creators July 9: Game delayed past $250M bonus deadline One week. The leaked milestone review tells a very different story than what either side is saying publicly. "How Krafton Stole $250M from the Creators of Subnautica 2" www.youtube.com/watch?v=V06V...

I saw this scrolling on reddit, and I think I would actually enjoy seeing fantasy characters accurately translated into contemporary culture, I think that would be pretty neat actually

TPM 2.0 has benefits, but it's disproportionate to the security gains. This is MS using popular games to force OS upgrades. CoD has 100+ million players. Making TPM 2.0 mandatory pushes millions toward Windows 11 and newer hardware Follow the money, not the marketing

000

Moriarty (mrixrt) @reallycool.bsky.social · 06/08/2025

Call of Duty will require TPM 2.0 for Black Ops 7 in 2025. Activision says it's for anti-cheat security. But the timing reveals something else entirely Get your tinfoil hats, but my conspiracy theory here isn't exactly hard to believe

Got the new GI in the mail today. It's such a strangely anachronistic beast. Reviews for the Switch 2--clearly written pre-Bananza--mixed with retrospectives that I've already seen the most Must Read clips from online Does the world simply move too fast for print to have purpose

Twenty years ago, The Guy Game was pulled from stores after a lawsuit involving an underage contestant. Last month, I found it being sold at a gaming convention for $150. Same game. Same legal issues. Still changing hands. How is this still happening? Watch on YouTube youtu.be/b2kfeO6H65U

This is Ōhōri Tsuruhime. When she was 15 her family was killed, so she snuck onto the enemy generals ship, challenged him to a duel, and won. "His words were sharp, but not as sharp as the sword she stabbed him with." Then, her army lobbed grenades at his armada and won the battle Should be a movie

This is pretty standard booster pack stuff, to have limited quantities of gacha style packs, but it's the clear attempt to deceive the customer into believing they have a chance to get a "rare" "signed" card, encouraging FOMO and gambling. Really really gross.

000

Moriarty (mrixrt) @reallycool.bsky.social · 23/04/2025

This is a "rare" printing, a fake signature, signed by a fictional character. It is likely not even hand signed by a person but instead printed and then included in the decks in a limited number of packs

101

Moriarty (mrixrt) @reallycool.bsky.social · 23/04/2025

You can buy these card packs separately, and in that one you get a closer look at the cards Turns out it's not autographed It's not a signed card It's a "signed" card

100

Moriarty (mrixrt) @reallycool.bsky.social · 23/04/2025

Notice this pack includes "chance to get autographed Cacodemon rookie card." This is the Willy Wonka program that I mentioned in my video come to life, but it actually gets a lot worse... Who is this card signed by?

100

Moriarty (mrixrt) @reallycool.bsky.social · 23/04/2025

I wanted to point out something I find really egregious. In the $700 Doom 1+2 package Limited Run is selling, there's something that most people missed but is actually really disgusting: "Trading Card Pack includes five random cards"

120

Moriarty (mrixrt) @reallycool.bsky.social · 02/04/2025

More so you can see the price is actually $450 and not the $299 people are lying about

Official documentation posted by Microsoft (and later removed) shows Steam on the upcoming Xbox UI I knew the console wars were over, but I didn't realize Valve had won them

050

Moriarty (mrixrt) @reallycool.bsky.social · 14/02/2025

Doing this immediately undermines the conceit that both are Captain America. It's like "Spiderman - Miles Morales," you're making Miles clearly distinct from Spiderman. If you're gonna do this, "Captain America - Steve Rogers" makes more sense, but Fortnite literally didn't even consider that

152

Moriarty (mrixrt) @reallycool.bsky.social · 08/02/2025

It's becoming clearer and clearer that "physical" really is just a game key in a box As if mandatory day one patches, always online functionality, and "downloading installation files" didn't already prove it
