Louder for those at the back: anti-Zionism is NOT anti-semitism. Condeming those who perpetrate a violent displacement and eradication of a populace should not be conflated with condemnation of the religion those perpetrators represent only a portion of.

Same composer. Only a year between them, and yet one still sounds like it is still very much haunted by the 1960s, and the other is unmistakably early 1970s. www.youtube.com/watch?v=yo0p... www.youtube.com/watch?v=LeDh... Both fantastic films.

WTF!? Now #Trustpilot has switched to login by magic email! Why are sites assuming that someone logging into a web site has instant access to their e-mail? And do they not know that email is more readily compromised than a password!? Fucking idiots.

And so - the other post about tea: I have taken to drinking tea brewed with dried red chilli. (There's a foundation for this if you look into the history and origins of tea drinking.)

There are two ways reliance on automation can be a threat: 1) not believing and impeding it when it is right, 2) putting too much faith in it, and believing it blindly when it is wrong. Automation does not solve the human judgement problem.

I do believe I am going to need to close my office window for the first time in probably 4 months. There's a slight chill to the draft. Or at least, I am so acclimatised to the summer's warmth that it feels like it. (I have no doubt that back in March I would have considered this temperate.)

Given the number of people incapable of correct spelling, the "Londinium Pedo" has an unfortunate name. It is entirely correct, of course, but the vast majority of people (Americans, and those influenced by their media and broken English, especially) will misread it... uhulmc.org/index_htm_fi...

LoRA meshes like #meshcore and #meshtastic in murky FCC waters, it seems. I may be missing something, but it puzzles me why there would need to be a stipulation of a *minimum* bandwidth at all. Surely a narrower bandwidth is beneficial to all users of the spectrum? hackaday.com/2026/09/17/f...

I don't know the origin if this, but the point is undeniable. At one end of the scale, presidential dignity irrespective of party, at the other the Tangerine Troll with none.

A compound photograph showing Biden (with Gill), GWB, and Clinton with Obama and Michelle amongst the attendees.
Text beneath:
Every living president, even one with stage 4 cancer, made the journey to Ground Zero this morning. ONLY TRUMP DID NOT ATTEND, because he was not allowed to make a political speech, which is against the Ground Zero rules. LET THAT SINK IN. Trump said, if I can't make the ceremony all about MYSELF, I won't bother going. And truthfully, we are probably all better off for it, especially the grieving families.

I'm puzzled why Burnham back-pedalled on this. Even if it also affects Labour donations, given the clear imbalance of interests, and wealth leaning toward the Tories (or worse, Reform and the ultra-right) it still makes sense to enact a cap/ban.
