Chai: my first cup ever! Drank it with lots of honey. No wonder it’s so popular: spicy and very warming. Thanks to Rosemary Gladstar recipe! See Alt for ingredients.
Two mugs filled with brownish tea; one with cream. A stainless pot and small strainer with ingredients: black tea, fresh ginger, black peppercorns, cinnamon stick, coriander, and cardamom-broken up a bit with a coffee grinder.

Why not wear your own coat of many colors, in honor of dear, sweet, talented Dolly. We will miss her kindness.
Orange sun sets behind tall, dark trees. The evening sky is layered in color from lavender, to pink, and then peach.

Winter scene in a thicket of young trees; a few hemlock and several beech with pecan colored leaves left over from summer. A little snow atop the leaves and evergreen boughs. The leaves quiver in the breeze, making a calming music.

I collect children’s books. I will carry a few at today’s March for American democracy and give them away at random. It’s a great way to connect with others! Last protest I had several people tell me that they use Stone Soup in their talking circles. Probably my favorite folk tale.
Two large hardcover books side-by-side on a wooden table. Stone Soup by John J Muth. And Just Ask by Sonia Sotomayor. Both covers are colorful and beautifully. Illustrated.

#witchmadness #WitchSky 🌿 Today I’m sharing the words of Arin Murphy – Hiscock to describe my green witch practice. It’s a journey. I add new habits as I learn. The blood worm moon is inspiring; bluesky witches remind me to Practice stone cleansing and making moon water. Gratitude.
A page from Hiscock’s book, The Green Witch Illustrated. Color drawing shows tree roots with a globe of a purple mountain scene. Phases of the moon in a line above the globe. Heading at top of page reads “ green witchcraft is an ongoing celebration of life.”

#WitchSky #witchmadness Communication. Of the myriad ways in which we communicate, nonverbal methods are potent. We love connecting nonverbally with our nonhuman familiars: it’s vastly rich. My familiars: a certain yellow lab, dragonflies, fox, robins. Yours? What do you talk about?
Close up of a yellow lab’s face. Light catches her hazel eyes on one side of her face. Big nostrils!

Her look says; I got you!

Apropos of nothing and for no good reason, a gal who owns a lovely thrift shop, Tammie, yesterday invited me to pick out a bookmark from the stash her employee artfully creates. A gift: my selection. Seemed timely.
A watercolor painted white bookmark with orange and yellow swishes, a purple conifer, and a circle pasted on top with orange, and greenish colors - looks like a moon. Quote at bottom reads: “well behaved women rarely make history”-Laurel Thatcher Ulrich
Artist is LsFK, Freeport, Maine
