Hope is a constantly surprising, extremely entertaining film with incredible, adrenaline fuelled action set pieces and stunning production and sound design. The score is brilliant too. It’s not perfect and may not be for everyone, but I loved it and am hoping for the sequel! #hope #koreancinema

The Kombini is a Japanese institution…Family Mart, Lawson and 7-11 are everywhere and they stock everything you need from clothing, sunglasses through to ice cubes & ice cream. I think we’ve used them many times a day, everyday! I can’t imaging not having a Kombini nearby

Japanese toilets cleverly have wash-hand basins above the cistern. Some of the water used to fill the cistern up is used for washing hands first! Simplifies plumbing, lowers water usage and reduces space requirements👍 Very smart!!

One thing I really like in Japanese supermarkets is that put random things in their freezer section for you to eat/drink from frozen. I’m particularly addicted to the frozen bottles of Suntory Natchan Orange Juice

In Pokémon World…it’s crazy! It’s in a shopping centre (almost!) devoted to games and characters from loads of different games. It’s not kids buying though…it’s adults (of all ages) treating themselves! The kidults here are truly dedicated shoppers!!

Osaka is a shopaholics paradise…just leaving the Shinkansen station & we fell into a 3 hour detour into our first shopping mall (dangerously equipped with our favorite brands😳). However there are two shopping arcades here - one 600m long & one 2.6km long, waiting to waylay us. Pray for our wallets

I love it when the weather is cool enough to not need fans & a/c, everyone in the house gets a good 8+ hours of sleep & no one is turning the TV/computers on, running the toaster/microwave & people sleep past 9am (ie low energy use, as our electricity prices are really, really expensive currently)
