The proposed reforms will only make the UK a more restrictive place to live and exacerbate the nursing workforce crisis by: • Extending the qualifying period for permanent settlement to up to 15 years for some nurses • Restricting access to benefits even after securing Indefinite Leave to Remain

Our thoughts are with those affected by the Bedford train crash yesterday, and our thanks go out to all the health care workers and other first responders involved.
Our thoughts and wishes are with all of those affected by this tragic incident, particularly with the family, friends and colleagues of the driver who lost his life. We also send our thanks to the first responders who acted so quickly, including the nursing staff, some of whom came in whilst off duty to care for the injured.
