Ma’am. I feel like she should have been a little more frightened, but I’m glad she wasn’t. When I passed, she was still hanging.

I love my dog so much, but why does she chew on inanimate objects that can give her splinters? RIP to this colored pencil. #dogsky #dogs

#literacies folk- this book is a wonderful #empathy builder for young readers. Sensitive content, but I feel it’s OK for 4th and up. Important story and beautifully written.

Rereading Freire and Macedo and stumbled upon the reference to Chomsky’s discussion of democracy. The importance of literacy educators to think deeply on Freire’s conceptualization of literacy as empowerment can’t be overstated. #literacies #edusky

Just put the finishing touches on our article arguing for strong foundational immediate literacy skills for younger children prior to screen use (centered around the teaching practices of an amazing elementary educator) #medialiteracy #media #literacies #edusky #academicsky #acwri

Cartoon depicting two ancient people’s recording information saying that they must record for future generations and one asks what if they acquire so much dollars that they can selectively choose facts to mold to their own individual realities? The other responds, what if you shut your mouth?

I normally hate keynote speakers, but today was the exception. Bryan Stevenson changed my outlook at a time where I needed the most. Be in proximity, don’t let yourself be governed by fear and anger, and do not throw away the children.
