Ah, you're right. I forgot about the numbers and him recounting the entire backstory of Luna 11.

I thought Cope was maybe a manifestation of PTSD from the protagonist being shot down twice? Three times? In a single day.

Finished the campaign. Just want to thank Project Aces for making a game targeting me specifically. Tremendous effort in making me, personally, the main character, even if the character is a silent murder machine responsible for the deaths of thousands.

This is such classic Elon, lmao. "I know better than actual experts because I am rich."

The worst part is Watson isn't a star. He sucks shit. He hasn't been good since before all the allegations came out. It doesn't even make sense from a deluded "he's a star" perspective. It's baffling and abhorrent.

Ah yes this megacorporation is run by as a DAO so it's nothing like a state because they *checks notes* vote on all their actions.

I know the Roberts court is just playing Calvinball, but it's been expanded before numerous times so any argument against it would de facto undermine their own legitimacy

Sending this shit to Saudi Arabia to defend from attacks in a bullshit war while Ukraine is still under constant siege is criminal. Absolutely disgusting.

Incredible energy for this election campaign. Just absolutely smashing it.

Not only that, but under his own government name instead of remaining pseudonymous. Perhaps a type of hubris linked to his actions in the first place?

It legitimately feels like editors are only doing mechanical error checking these days. It's all typos and punctuation and not interrogating why the writer says the same thing 10 ways in 3 pages.

I honestly can't even fathom how Yuktobania and Osea allowed this country to exist, let alone launch insane space weapons.

It's not even about scorn! It's the incredulousness if some people at others who haven't heard it. I'm sure the song is perfectly fine but it should also be understandable that people haven't heard it.

This is mystifying to me because after looking at the various metrics - YouTube views, Spotify plays - this song appears to be the equivalent of an second-quartile Taylor Swift song in overall popularity, and I assure you I don't know all of those either.

Ray Thomas @raythomas.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Sorry, but this is outmoded. You can be entirely plugged into politics, tv, music and never hear this song. Charts are based on radio airtime in a world where everyone has a digital music subscription they curate.

Ray Thomas @raythomas.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

I go to the gym and grocery store routinely but either wear headphones or they're playing their own playlists which are almost always pop music from 10 years ago. At work I choose the music on Spotify. When could I possibly hear this?

000

Ray Thomas @raythomas.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

If you're not actively seeking out new music how is it finding you? I literally never go anywhere that is playing music from honest-to-god radio. I still have not heard this song.

Couldn't waterboard "the sex I have is uninteresting and short" out of me, let alone give it as a quote in a news story.

I don't think anything here is a gag beyond the original post you responded to.

I mean, I just live, work, and study here and spent my time learning about where I live. Figured I'd save you the time of doing the research, but it'd be cool if you did it anyway I guess.

Ray Thomas @raythomas.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

Sorry it challenges your priors. Sometimes complex issues have a lot nuance. Good luck.

Ray Thomas @raythomas.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

I can assure you that a lot of attitudes toward federal agents here in Appalachia are tied to specific familial and community interactions around moonshine and bootlegging. This predates federal intervention on race. I don't pretend racism isn't also a problem, but its not explicitly linked.

200

Ray Thomas @raythomas.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

Yeah, lmao, you started a quote thread about it, afterall.

100

Ray Thomas @raythomas.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

The song and the show aren't related but keep stretching. Everyone will come around to see you're right soon.

100

Ray Thomas @raythomas.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

Hey, man, you may want to look up the differences between geographical and legal boundaries of Appalachia. Maybe rethink your own assumptions.

000

Ray Thomas @raythomas.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

One's explicitly about revenue agents and the other is an open confederate symbol. But yeah if you're bad at media literacy they're the same.

Ray Thomas @raythomas.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

I'm not either. I'm just pointing out you're wrong about the song, man.
