What are you reading for Banned Books Week 2026? In honor of the late Marjane Satrapi, who died this last June at age 56, I’m revisiting her magnum opus Persepolis. The female guitarist rock duo Finom opened for Mannequin Pussy on Thursday night in Madison, and they were phenomenal. On top of that, one of them was 9 months pregnant and still kicked ass with the showmanship chops throughout their set. I picked up one of their albums, as well. #finom #thesylvee
