"Behold a Pale Horse" refers to Revelations 6: 7-8 where death, the final horseman is revealed to the viewer btw. The lungs are representative of CF, existing outside of the body, within the pale horse while the person's own vasculature feeds it. Existence feeding into eventual demise. Teehee.
