My housemate had bilateral Giant Cell Arteritis that disabled her for FOUR YEARS but her neurologist told her it was just a migraine. Her GP found it the next day and diagnosed it immediately Four YEARS and she could have have gone totally and permanently unable to see

I should have replied earlier. I would read it all again immediately - I’ve just found the Hail Mary Project and I’ve read the novel it’s based on. I’ve collected SF novels because as child of the 1940s there was a deep understanding of myth, of the lies of the just war and of benevolent AI
