Anyone have any recommendations for darks and dramatic sounding musicians (with singers)? Something like FKA Twigs’ Magdalene album, Charli xcx’s song House or the really good Woodkid songs, Son Lux Emilie Autumn Evanescence-ish. At least a whole album and not just one off songs.

It just so maddening to think about the levels of violence we let men get away with from the ultra famous public figures to mildly popular niche figures to friends and family. Theres no amount of public scrutiny men cant weasel out of. No level of being unimportant that wont still get you defenders.

It’s violence he inflicted against women and his own children with the backing of an expensive “religious” cult and we really have no way of knowing what harm he could still be inflicting on less powerful, less famous women that he knows won’t have a voice.

I know Tom Cruise’s PRTeam is really good at making him seem like a fun relatable guy, I’ve read articles that made me feel fond of him, but objectively I think we should consider his well documented public harassment campaigns against his ex-wives to be a form of family violence and unforgivable.

i dislike the whole project but his paintings have always overwhelmingly struck me as NAIVE in a way that he doesnt seem to intend-- he's treating the illo as lowbrow and authorless and making a joke of putting it into Fine Art, but all i can see is man this fucker had no grasp of drawing at all lol

It’s surprising to me how many people are surprised when I bring up the Doctor Who lore that Timelords are only supposed to regenerate 12 times is because of the hours on a clock. Guys they’re called Timelords…I really didn’t think I was doing deep level analysis. It’s the least subtle show on earth

Took a break today so I could go to bed early and my brain just won’t!! 😫 After I moved and got settled here I actually started sleeping really well and regularly when my main hobby outside of work was watching movies so I can talk to my coworkers about movies.

See I knew the “have a day job and work on comics during your free time” is a fucking SCAM because the minute I try to do that seriously and majorly utilize my precious free time to do more work I suddenly cannot sleep well anymore even though I’m more tired than ever. My brain will not rem properly

Absolutely laughable to me that this young boy said she looked too young to date because kid that girl looks your age or older. If this was a play I’d be able to suspend my disbelief more but she put grown up clothes on for a scene and I can’t possibly believe people wouldn’t treat her like an adult

I wonder if there is actually a generational difference in how we age because of, what do people say, putting growth hormones in our milk or something? Because the way Claudia describes being physically 14 is completely unrelatable to me. They might just be trying to make her sound younger though.

It’d be amazing animated if American studios would ever give it the budget it deserves.

Oh yeah I’m liking her as an actress already! If this was meant to be a different character I could more easily get on board with the different themes and nuances that would come with being stuck a teenager together, I just don’t think it has at all the dramatic stakes of forever being a child does.

I completely understand the filming logistics to why she had to be aged up for a show but it’s just still a bummer thematically. This is why we need more adult animation dramas. If it’s too difficult to put a child through having a medium where no actual children need to be present is great.

Ok finally watching more IWTV and trying to get past my Claudia nitpicks but already it’s like…how old is she supposed to be? Because one of them said teenager so her complaining about “When am I going to get bigger?” when like, girl if you’re 13+ there’s a good chance you were never getting taller.
