That might not be crazy for a community/in group context though 🤔 especially if it has a fun collaborative/collective angle to it. Ingroup language is so core to social on or offline

➕That's a good point re: guiding folks to expand conversation beyond reactionary signals. That whole thing where you have a full library of emojis or even more than a few seems unwieldy. But a few like the "Yes, No, Meh" could be interesting 🤔

Question: Do you feel like the "❤️" reaction is enough when interacting with posts on Bluesky, or do you feel like some nuance would be useful?

BREAKING NYT: A New York City panel just voted to freeze rents for nearly one million rent-stabilized apartments — fulfilling one of Mayor Zohran Mamdani's key campaign promises and handing the mayor a major policy win six months into his tenure.

Yes! This sounds like a really interesting way of exploring through a snapshot of someone else’s world!

No, its still valid! Now the other part...would you *like* to see more notifications or even things that aren't notifications? More like "suggestions" of other topics, people to connect to in general?

110

Skeeter T. Washington III @rayf.blacksky.app · 25/06/2026

First and only movie I’ve seen that has included a reference to the Sapir-Whorf thesis, and that alone makes this a top 5 sci-fi film

Skeeter T. Washington III @rayf.blacksky.app · 25/06/2026

Have you ever had an experience where notifications did feel overwhelming (good or bad on any platform)? Or even annoying? I feel like a lot of apps can REALLY get annoying that way

100

Skeeter T. Washington III @rayf.blacksky.app · 25/06/2026

Def understand that! I had quite a few friends stop using Meta around that time. I took a break around that time too, I actually left the company at that time. Lot of what you mentioned above (and other reasons). What would be your top 1-3 wishlist to make your experience better on Bluesky?

110

Skeeter T. Washington III @rayf.blacksky.app · 25/06/2026

Thoughts on how you’d like repost notifications to look like on @bsky.app ? Things you don’t understand or have inspo from elsewhere or your dreamiest of dreams (just not the weird ones)?

Skeeter T. Washington III @rayf.blacksky.app · 25/06/2026

I’m still making my transition, but it’s mainly down to Bluesky and Threads. Was there any one thing or things that made you take the big leap?

Skeeter T. Washington III @rayf.blacksky.app · 24/06/2026

#blacksky working on somethings...what differences (Good/Bad) have you noticed in how you use Bluesky vs other socials (Twitter, Threads, IG, TikTok)?

🚨BREAKING: Puerto Rico has been part of the United States since 1898, and people still act confused that Puerto Ricans are American. States that joined after Puerto Rico: • Oklahoma — 1907 • New Mexico — 1912 • Arizona — 1912 • Alaska — 1959 • Hawaii — 1959 Yet somehow this is still news to folks.

With the holidays upon us, don't give to Salvation Army. Not even change. It's a scumbag "charity" run by anti-gay zealots. Habitat for Humanity is great. Your local Food Bank is great. So many "charities" are for-profit scams. Use Charity Navigator to vet them. www.charitynavigator.org

Lord knows what I’m gonna start thinking up when I watch this extra #sinners content 😅

#6 (cont.) Stack mentioned his father usually beat instead of Smoke but that he “didn’t mean it” — meaning he likely carried a level of guilt and loss around his mother dying while giving birth to him.

110

Skeeter T. Washington III @rayf.blacksky.app · 05/06/2025

#6 Stack’s father likely abused him out of resentment Mary tells the story of how Stacks mother died during pregnancy giving birth to him.

Skeeter T. Washington III @rayf.blacksky.app · 05/06/2025

#5 Pullman porter / Oakland connection Oakland was a significant base of operations and beyond being a massive opportunity for upward mobility — the Oakland Pullman porters are the first to unionize.

110

Skeeter T. Washington III @rayf.blacksky.app · 05/06/2025

#4 VULTURES They’re present and foreshadow throughout the film, subtle but they’re there. They’re closest to Stack, one even trails the Klansman sheriff. They could be over the mill juke because it was a slaughterhouse or they could be foreshadowing

100

Skeeter T. Washington III @rayf.blacksky.app · 05/06/2025

#3 (cont.) his awareness of his brother’s potentially less pious ways, could explain an added layer of fear Jed holds for his son Sammie

100

Skeeter T. Washington III @rayf.blacksky.app · 05/06/2025

#3 Jed still holds memories of his brother close Preacherboy’s guitar is actually Jed’s brother/ S&S’s father’s who had a reputation of being “evil”. Jed likely knew it was his brothers and it’s strategically placed it against the table stating ‘In Remembrance of Me’

110

Skeeter T. Washington III @rayf.blacksky.app · 05/06/2025

#2: Preacherboy’s guitar juxtaposed against the cross In the opening scene with his father we see Preacherboy’s hold on the guitar inch towards the cross in the background but never actually makes contact with it…which potentially foreshadows his struggle to balance “the church” vs his own “light”

100

Skeeter T. Washington III @rayf.blacksky.app · 05/06/2025

The first shot we see of evil with red eyes, then we see in the sky the sun with an optical reflection that also looks like two eyes— but not red almost in the same exact framed position. This transitions to Preacherboy heading to church after battling the “devil”. 🤔

Watched the ‘Sinners’ digital release on my flight — I think that’s watch #5 Button up for some theories that are probably that range from symbolic to conspiracy theory. [SPOILERS BELOW] #1: The opening scene where we hear Annie’s voice explaining universal themes of griots #sinners #blacksky

There’s good reason why Remmick would attempt to fly in daylight to flee the Choctaw right before sunset: The Choctaw have been archers for over 1300 years. An arrow to the heart probably qualifies as a “stake”, best to not take your chances #sinners #sinnerssky #blacksky

0140

Skeeter T. Washington III @rayf.blacksky.app · 07/05/2025

And for Sammie after defeating Remick it was the man dressed in white with a white horse waiting outside the church…as a signifier that Sammie earned the blessing to let a light shine that is a gift of healing to his people.

000

Skeeter T. Washington III @rayf.blacksky.app · 07/05/2025

And as after any successful biblical battle, the victors are usually engaging with a spirit that is cloaked in white with their ultimate reward. For Smoke it was Annie cand their baby cloaked in white. She calls him by his birth name, which is biblical as a call to shed his human form of “Smoke”

100

Skeeter T. Washington III @rayf.blacksky.app · 07/05/2025

Which perfectly leads up to the moment we see Mary running down the road in the post credit scene. She’s definitely running with Stack or plans to reunite with him whether we see him in that moment or not.

100

Skeeter T. Washington III @rayf.blacksky.app · 07/05/2025

Meaning Stack likely *helped move* Smoke into position by speed or flying so he could stealthily get behind Remick at the right moment. Just like when Stack passed Smoke the knife to stab the snake, he carried Smoke to the pond, stake in hand at the ready to kill Remick.

100

Skeeter T. Washington III @rayf.blacksky.app · 07/05/2025

So! Sammy’s back is to the juke, the other vampires, and the struggle his cousins are having. But the amount of time and speed required for Smoke to save Sammy, as banged up as he was *without Remick or other vampires seeing him* would require super human speed & stealth beyond Smoke’s army training

100

Skeeter T. Washington III @rayf.blacksky.app · 07/05/2025

What Stack also accomplishes intended or not, is avoiding committing the same sin as Cain, by killing his brother. He spares his brother and is leaving judgment to God.

100

Skeeter T. Washington III @rayf.blacksky.app · 07/05/2025

Annie’s mojo bag might’ve been doing extra work to disrupt Remick realizing this pact or Remick may have been so fixated and overwhelmed with Sammy and the pain of getting his skull sliced he didn’t realize what was going on.
