Are the online debates we're having being decided for us? We increasingly live in a constructed digital space where our feeds are being manipulated in real-time and the origins of trending conversations are difficult to pinpoint.

The verdict is in: people don’t want Big Tech corporations deciding our future. And both the GOP and Dems are asleep at the wheel. If they won’t act: @workingfamilies.org will.

NEW poll in 18 toss-up districts (with a sample that voted Trump 48-45) shows independents & moderates are *not* looking for the archetypical Moderate candidate — and are not dissuaded if outsiders are labeled too far left. Strong support for Israel was the *least* appealing quality in a candidate.

Our ideas about what makes a candidate "electable" are completely off. The Dem establishment doesn't want candidates who punch up at power and confront party leadership—but that's *exactly* what swing voters want.

NEW: Polling of 18 Cook-rated toss-up districts shatters conventional wisdom about how to win in a swing district. Independents *and* moderates want outsider candidates who will stand up to the political establishment. The middle of the road is where you get run over.
