Xenoblade Genesis is going to be a trip because I'm probably going to stream it exclusively in emote only mode.

you arent a burden. you are a human being with wants and needs. having desires does not make you selfish. unless you are sonic, in which case you are not human and everything you do sickens me.

There isn't a single Xenoblade stream I am not looking forward to from tonight onwards I think. Though I do hope I'm in a good spot in October to fit in at least one Spooky vibe game.

If I ever did a 24 hour stream I think I would call it the Endless Night. I would black out curtain my home and program an on stream clock that ran from 9pm to 4am but really it was a 24 hour timer and then finally get the long late late late night i imagined as a child before I knew how time worked

Rad at Video Games VTuber @ravg.net · 01/10/2026

Could I practice and get better? Absolutely. But also I could just play anything else there's already too many games.

Rad at Video Games VTuber @ravg.net · 01/10/2026

I've tried looking into what other people think and the general consensus is Rookie mode is great and is easy enough. So I refuse to pay full price for a game that Will Crush Me. I did try rookie mode last October and dropped the LP after getting to a boss I struggled with. My heart wasn't in it.

Rad at Video Games VTuber @ravg.net · 01/10/2026

This includes ravenous. I'll be real. Samus Returns and Dread both got me to peak frustration. I don't have the best split second reaction time and many of the bosses require reading and dodging accordingly and I just cannot keep up even in rookie mode.

I don't need to worry about zelda or kirby day 1 as I have too many games on the docket and still haven't gotten bananza.

However Ive discovered nothing will stop Xenoblade 2. As if I need to I can lower the difficulty to grind levels. We will be done in about 2 weeks with the main story.

Doing some planning ahead and we should actually be done with Xenoblade 2 in 2-3 weeks if I continue this push. Things are about to heat up! Also we're closer to the end than I thought I misremembered how many chapters there were lol

Something that helped me is knowing that if the desire is there, there will always be another game. And what I mean by that is, there's a desire to Get a Good Grade in streaming so you want to pick the right game or time. But there is always another one so might as well just play whatever!

Like it would really really really suck that because they used slop to generate trees or concept art that it would, rightfully and tragically so, overshadow the game design direction they've mastered over the past decade.

010

Rad at Video Games VTuber @ravg.net · 23/09/2026

I also remember playing episode Shadow and going "oh why wasn't the rest of forces like this? This gives me hope that this sets the gameplay straight for the future" and that held true. I can only hope the next game doesn't slop itself because of rest of the work that's been going into the games.
