AI cannot be trusted for ANY task. It is especially unreliable for maps. I asked for a map of Morocco and Casablanca ended up in the middle of the Atlantic. Here is an even worse example generated by OpenAI. No one who hopes to keep their job should be using or investing in AI. It is sloppy.

AI 'hallucinations' are bugs. These bugs are not a typing error in a line of code. They are intrinsic flaws in the large language model ( LLM ) design. Using a flawed design is utterly stupid. It is insanity to spend billions on a flawed design.

Dr. Maryam Mirzakhani was the first female winner of the Fields Medal, the most prestigious award in #mathematics. Today, May 12, is International Women in Mathematics Day--the day chosen specifically to honor Mirzakhani's legacy. She was born #OTD in 1977. #WomenInSTEM
This evocative digital composite features a portrait of the Iranian mathematician Dr. Maryam Mirzakhani (1977–2017). She is positioned in the right foreground, captured in a three-quarter profile as she looks directly at the viewer. Her expression is calm, thoughtful, and determined, characterized by a slight, knowing smile and strikingly clear blue-gray eyes. She has short, dark, cropped hair and wears a casual, dark-blue zip-up fleece over a bright green collared shirt.

The background is a dramatic, high-contrast overlay of complex white mathematical equations and formulas, including summations and factorials, which appear to float and glow against a dark, blurred void. This artistic composition suggests a mind deeply immersed in the abstract beauty of her work. The overall mood is one of profound intellectual depth and quiet brilliance.

Historically, this image honors the first woman and first Iranian to be awarded the Fields Medal (2014), the most prestigious prize in mathematics. Her legacy is so significant that her birthday, May 12, was chosen as International Women in Mathematics Day.

Remembering Dr. Maryam Mirzakhani on #PiDay π First female winner of the Fields Medal, the most prestigious award in #mathematics. Dr. Mirzakhani died in 2017 from #breastcancer at age 40. #WomenInSTEM #WomensHistoryMonth
A close-up color photograph of Iranian mathematician Maryam Mirzakhani (1977–2017), the groundbreaking Fields Medal winner and Stanford professor renowned as the first woman and first Iranian to receive mathematics' highest honor in 2014. Captured during the International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM) at the COEX convention center in Seoul, South Korea (August 2014), she is seated at a press conference or panel, resting her chin thoughtfully on her left hand with her elbow propped up, conveying deep concentration and quiet introspection. Mirzakhani has short dark brown hair, expressive blue-green eyes gazing slightly upward and to the side, and a subtle, contemplative expression with lightly furrowed brows and a gentle half-smile. She wears a dark blue or navy top and wears an earpiece and thin boom mic. The vibrant turquoise-blue background displays large white lettering reading "COEX Sec" (part of "COEX Seoul" or similar event branding), softly blurred behind her, with a faint shadow of her figure adding depth. This intimate portrait captures Mirzakhani's characteristic humility, intellectual intensity, and grace amid the historic moment of her Fields Medal recognition, symbolizing her profound contributions to the geometry and dynamics of Riemann surfaces and moduli spaces.

In 1927, Vera Menchik became the first Women's World Chess Champion at age 21 & is the longest-reigning women's champion in #chess history. She defended the title 7 times, held it undisputed until her tragic death in 1944 at age 38 in a V-1 rocket bombing during #WWII. She was born #OTD in 1906.
Black-and-white photograph of Vera Menchik, the pioneering first Women's World Chess Champion, seated at a chessboard in deep concentration during a game or study session. She rests her chin on her clasped hands, elbows on the table, gazing intently downward at the board with a calm, focused expression. Menchik has dark hair pulled back and wears a long-sleeved cardigan or sweater. The chessboard in the foreground displays a mid-game position with black and white pieces in play, including prominent kings, queens, bishops, knights, rooks, and pawns. Behind her, heavy dark curtains frame a bright window letting in natural light.
