Pensions haven’t existed for decades. You’re lucky enough to have one, you’re lucky. And I believe there are quite a few Americans that do have investments and something for the future, just not managed or part of a retirement plan. You’re correct, Social Security is it.

Globalization isn’t perfect, but cooperation with allies and trading partners helped build our economy. Maybe one person’s history with business shouldn’t become the blueprint for dismantling everyone else’s. Personal lessons shouldn’t become national consequences.

Tariffs can raise prices for Americans. I’m concerned we’re damaging relationships with longtime allies and reversing decades of globalization without honestly accounting for what that costs ordinary families. Trade policy should serve Americans, not punish them.

I don’t expect everyone to have equal wealth. I question a system where enormous wealth accumulates at the top while millions struggle with necessities. At some point, extreme wealth becomes more than money—it becomes power and influence. Democracy should confront that.

Stop telling Americans we have a “great economy” based mainly on GDP, markets and corporate wealth. Measure it by the people living in it: Can they afford food, housing, healthcare, education, energy and some security? That’s the economy voters actually live in.

Military has a history of doing that, I hate to say. However, I believe today’s soldiers are a bit more less manipulated by the leaders as they were in the past, at least on matters of politics. But also say on science and education as well.
