This is one of my biggest issues with modern remake culture. It stems from people who refuse to adapt to older media. I'm not saying that older games didn't have issues, but so often intentional design choices are deemed as flaws just because they aren't commonplace in the modern age.

Like no offense to the artists, but this looks like you put the 3ds model through an ai image generator and told it to be more "realistic". it's just visual noise.

I gotta stress I really love botw, and even enjoyed totk despite my disappointment with it. I just hate how Nintendo has all but abandoned so many aspects of the series I love in pursuit of their success.

I'm not sure if it's an unpopular take, but I'm frankly glad that gameplay wise oot seemed to be pretty faithful. After the shit Aonuma said about the classic Zelda formula, turning oot into a botw styled game would've just been a slap in the face ngl.

Someone else brought up that there's only one item slot so they're probably bringing back that fuck ass vertical scrolling menu from botw. That alone would be enough for me to consider this remake inferior, ngl.

Ocarina has now been cursed with modern Nintendo voice direction.

We begged for Nintendo to have higher fidelity so their games would stop lagging, but it came at the detriment of them being able to render hyper realistic graphics, and abusing that fact.

The OOT remake footage has me constantly flip flopping on, "this actually looks pretty good", to, "Nintendo really did hired that man huh?" At least the gameplay looks faithful.

Just saw Cyote vs ACME. Tbh, didn't like it as much as I wanted. There were some good gags, and I really enjoyed how they used and explained ACME in universe, but I felt the plot and character arcs were painfully cliche and formulaic. But still, glad it's doing well and I hope WB gets the message.
